The food here was really enjoyable. I had the seafood okro which is my standard for determining a good Nigerian restaurant and it was delicious! I'd have wanted a little more sea animals but I guess that would push the price up. The egusi too was delicious and my hubby loved it. They are available in Uber Eats and doordash, so you can order and enjoy from the comfort of your home. I will certainly be doing that.

My fiance and I loved our meal at Glozi Calabar restaurant. We first discovered it on uber eats and really enjoyed their egusi soup so wanted to try in person. The restaurant is pretty spacious inside and has a stage up front which looks to be a dj booth for entertaining. For our meal we ordered the edikang ikong soup with eba which was delicious! The leaves were so flavorful and savory with the right amount of spicy flavor too. The red stew is a must! We made sure to order goat meat stew to go and it hits every time. We’ve definitely found our new comfort food spot and will be back again. We also met the owner who was a very sweet and humble woman. She was very grateful for our compliments and truly she easily earns it because her food is delicious! :)

We had the soup, and it was absolutely delicious. It had that rich, home-cooked taste that makes you feel comforted and satisfied. We really enjoyed our visit and would gladly come back again.

In my opinion the egusi and fufu was not the greatest. I’ve been eating egusi for over 5 years and the one I got from here was the almost blandest in come across. Definitely not palm oil heavy which was what I noticed immediately. I’m used to a more palm oil and definitely flavorful egusi soup. Also these fufu tastes like it comes from a box. I’m not trying to discourage people from going to this business but after trying egusi from many places around Houston and this one I will pass on in the future.
