Here’s a more enthusiastic 5-star review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visiting Houston for the first time over the July 4th weekend, this restaurant was one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Demi, whose hospitality was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She made us feel so welcome, and her friendly, attentive service truly elevated our experience. Lorraine was also exceptional and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The food was outstanding! Every dish was packed with authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. You definitely get your money’s worth! The drinks were refreshing, and it was so much fun watching the World Cup on the large screen while enjoying such delicious food. The atmosphere, amazing service, and incredible food made for an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for authentic West African cuisine with exceptional hospitality, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Houston! Thank you Komchop staff. ❤️🇭🇹
Whenever I am in Houston on assignment from work. Komchop is my go to for Nigerian food. The first time was four years ago and then last week. The food is delicious, great portions and staff are actually friendly. The place is clean, unlike some Nigerian restaurants that smell funny with poor lightening. Great job guys. I love you guys. My brother and cousin just moved to Houston and I introduced to Komchop. You guys need to open a branch in the DC/ Maryland area. We are suffering here.
We were at Kom Chop on Sunday for our indigenous dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere looked neat. We ordered a plate poundo yam and banga soup, another plate of banga soup with oatmeal, and Nigerian Jollof, Dodo and chicken. For the drinks we ordered hibiscus drink. The food was beautifully presented. Ingredients tasted fresh, portions were okay, and flavors were balanced.
I've frequent this establishment for over a year now and I can safely say they're consistent. Had a couple bad days but for the most part they always delivered. What kept me coming aside from the food is the customer service, unlike most African restaurants I've been to in Houston I must say they're so nice and you've gotten yourself a loyal customer.
The absolute best food for people who are new to the cuisine. My favorite is the goat banga. Delicious. I will drive 30mins just to have it twice a week.
