This was our first time going to Sarabell Calabar Restaurant & Buffet with the family, and my husband is always craving African food, so we had to try it. I honestly love this place because you get to try different soups little by little. It’s such a fun experience tasting different dishes and flavors all in one visit. Everything is rich, flavorful, and full of spice. However… I don’t really recommend bringing small children. The food is very rich and heavily seasoned, and let’s just say it definitely got all over their clothes. 😅 Nevertheless, the food is really good. Next time, I think it’ll just be me and my husband. And I cannot forget to mention how luxurious it looks inside. From the outside, you would never expect it to look that nice on the inside. It truly feels like a hidden gem.

Beautifully decorated, very clean, nice station to wash hands. We went really late, right before closing and a lot of the food was over cooked and dry. The plantains were delicious, the chicken stew and Jollof rice were great. The future was good. But everything else was dried out and a couple things we tasted the flavors were off. Service was friendly and helpful. We will have to come back and try it early in the day when the food is fresher.

The soups were very very nice, but the abacha was very dry and the pomo was so hard we couldn’t even eat it. But the lady was very receptive of our feedback and offered to make it up to us. The lady that took our order was very patient with us, as we kept on changing our minds. Our drinks were forgotten and we had to keep reminding them. Overall, I think it’s a good restaurant with potential, the owner was very nice and receptive of our feedbacks and immediately offered to fix all the mistakes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!👍🏾💯

Very good food and good service. The atmosphere of this place is amazing, looks recently renovated and furnished. Easily 10/10 would come again.

Service was stellar—especially for a Nigerian restaurant. Rene made us feel welcome, staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The buffet had tons of options and we sampled as much as we could…walking away with a huge food belly. Overall, a lovely experience and worth the price.
