Loved our first dining experience here! We have always ordered the Goode Company pies to send as presents but never ate at the physical location. Food was excellent - the seafood ceviche was so good as was the rice and beans. We got a pecan pie to go to celebrate the holiday. Very nice service!

Authentic BBQ and Shiner Bock The BBQ plate was outstanding, with rich, smoky flavors in every bite. The side dishes, including the macaroni and cheese and potato salad, were also delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. A highlight for me was enjoying it with Shiner Bock, a classic Texas beer. Its smooth, dark lager character complemented the savory BBQ beautifully and made for a truly local dining experience. An Unforgettable Atmosphere The interior is filled with fascinating cowboy memorabilia and historic photographs, creating an inviting and lively space. The upbeat energy of the restaurant was so infectious that I even found myself stepping out to do the Texas Two-Step. It was a wonderful way to immerse myself in the local culture and relax. A Must-Visit Destination Between the high-quality food, the friendly service, and the vibrant environment, this place is a gem. If you are looking for an authentic and memorable time in Houston, I highly recommend stopping by.

We had a great experience at Goode Co. Armadillo Palace! The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made our visit feel welcoming from start to finish. We started with the deviled eggs (6/10). They were good but didn’t stand out compared to the rest of the meal. For entrées, we ordered the 10 oz carne asada (medium) with handmade corn tortillas (8/10). The steak was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the fresh tortillas were a great touch. The 12 oz pork rib chop (9.5/10) was the highlight—super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely recommend! The white cheddar macaroni and cheese (8.5/10) was creamy and delicious, a perfect comfort side. I also had a margarita (8.5/10) that was well-balanced and refreshing. Overall: Great service, flavorful food, and a fun atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back!

So today I drove 2 hours to try food at the Armadillo Palace with my girlfriend. We had good reviews on Goode Co. and we made a day of it. The atmosphere and all of the photos inside the restaurant really caught my interest. Our waitress Victoria P. greeted us with a smile and short conversation. We ordered a couple Appetizers and a Margarita. As we glanced over the menu, we noticed there were no BBQ plates on the menu. Victoria told us that was served across the road at Goode Co. Texas BBQ. So we enjoyed a plate of Blue Ribbon Deviled Eggs and some Chile Con Carne. We order some strawberry cobbler to go. We then crossed the road to the BBQ restaurant and enjoyed 2 plates of brisket, sausage and ribs with sides. We were well taken care of at both restaurants and the staff fixed us up. We will definitely be coming back to the Armadillo Palace for a full meal instead of just Appetizers. Maybe catch a evening when there is some live entertainment on the stage. All in all I'd have to say it was worth the 2 hour trip there. Once again thank you Victoria P. for the awesome service and patience as we were nubbies today.

First things first… arrived and was seated by “Hannah” which I greatly appreciated she heard us say it was cold so she seated us in the restaurant away from ac vents which temperature was perfects. So we ordered fried okra as our starter and at first I can honestly say I wasn’t impressed. It was a little undercooked for my liking. However spoke with waitresses “Gabby” and the manager “Bird” bc he wanted to know how I’d like my okra and when I say okra came back out perfect. Crispy and cooked completely through for our meal we came because we noticed they had chili Fritos which it’s cold out when I say chili was excellent best chili I’ve ever tasted here in Texas. We were so happy with both our food and experience that we will be returning for a second dose next Saturday “. Thank you GABBY, Hannah and Bird your service and food was excellent.
