We visited for the first time recently when my lunch partner suggested it. No wait as he made a reservation. I viewed the menu in advance and noting plenty of appealing options. The highest‑rated starter, the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, seemed like a must‑try — but unfortunately it missed the mark for us. It was overwhelmingly creamy, to the point that any actual flavor was lost, and we couldn’t find any noticeable artichoke at all. After a couple of bites, we decided to skip it. One of the most popular entrées is the Emerald Kale Salad with Rotisserie Chicken, so we ordered that along with the Scottish Salmon (mid‑rare) to share. The salad was outstanding — fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. The salmon was also delicious, though cooked closer to medium than mid‑rare, and the accompanying broccoli was a nice touch. Service was wonderful throughout our visit. Our server was attentive without hovering, and she made sure our whiskey on the rocks was never empty, which we genuinely appreciated. Overall, this was a lovely experience, and despite the appetizer miss, the quality of the entrées and the excellent service have me looking forward to returning.
I visited this place for the 1st time today. I’ve been planning a visit here for a while but something always come up. Today was my lucky day and I’m so glad. The Lemon Drops here are AMAZING! I had 3 by the way! I also enjoyed the Spinach Dip and the Redfish. My only disappointment was the “Dirty Rice”! I wasn’t really a fan. It’s no where near the traditional Dirty Rice. On the other hand, over all the food, service and atmosphere was great!
My wife and I had a lunch date here and it was OUTSTANDING! It was just adults enjoying great food and atmosphere. No people talking loudly on their phones screaming kids or overbearing groups of people interfering with your intimate companion and meal. The rules as well as the food separate this dining from chucky cheese and a few other places. Wait staff was stealthy with refills and table management. Which brought us to tears laughing at the people who were excommunicado for breaking the rules😂🤣😂 Go enjoy the food and atmosphere you will not regret it...unless😆
In from Galveston, TX for my wife's UTHealth retirement party. Julie at the bar took care of us with great service; not too fast not too slow. Enjoyed the GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD with field greens, jicama, honey-lime vinaigrette, peanut sauce; and a glass of wine. This place has always been great for food quality and service. You cannot beat the ambience. Wish we lived closer.
Came here for a lunch meeting with a friend for the first time. The restaurant has a classic feel, dimmer lighting, with a healthy buzz. The space definitely seems like a popular spot for business lunches. The booth seating is nice - the backs are high so you feel isolated in your table space. Everyone was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant appears very clean. We were told about the specials and recommendations on the menu. Our food came out in a reasonable time frame and tasted good! I feel the food is a bit overpriced for the quantity. I ordered the Ruby Star Salad and while the portion was filling, for $30 I would have expected either a larger piece of salmon or more density to the salad. If I was having a business lunch, I would consider coming here again as it fits that vibe, but for a personal experience, I would skip.
