I Ordered DoorDash From Here To Surprise My Mom (Who Is From New Orleans) With A Little Taste Of Home. I Ordered A Catfish Poboy For Her And A Shrimp Poboy For Me. Overall I Give It A 6/10. It Wasn’t Bad At All But It Didnt Have Me Begging For More. My Shrimp Was Overly Cooked So It Made It Taste Kinda Old Since They Kinda Shriveled Up Inside The Fried Coating. I Was Hoping For More Flavor And Spice But It Wasnt Overtly Bad. I Think I Would Try Them Again Just Not The Poboys. My Fries Were Drowned In Salt/Seasoning But The Ones That Weren’t Were Pretty Good. Mom Said It Was Okay She Liked It But It Wasnt Mind Blowing. I’ve Seen Other Locations So Maybe I Will Try Another Location As Well.
Food was good. Customer service could be a little better. The expectation that we don’t have to be friendly to patrons that look like us needs to end. I shouldn’t feel like I’m asking my cousin for a favor when I’m paying money. Food is pretty good and portions are great but I think the sauce should be bigger to match. I wouldn’t mind paying $1 more to make that the standard for every order placed. Overall food was good and would be back
I can’t believe I’ve been in Houston 5yrs and have never stopped here. Today I failed to meal prep dinner and needed to grab food before going to work. Ordered a Grilled Shrimp Po Boy with Fries and Anthony hooked me up. I forgot to snap a photo but everything was amazing. 10/10. Food was hot, very flavorful, and portion size was on point. I am full and happy 🤎.
False advertisement I came based off the photo of the crawfish grilled cheese on their page and when you get it, nothing of the sort. The taste was regular no spice just cheesy, and plain fries. Dry. 3/10 good customer service
A Gem You Need to Try!! If you're in Houston and haven't tried It's Nola Baby at the Almeda food truck park, you're seriously missing out. This spot is an absolute must visit for food lovers, especially if you're craving bold flavor, southern charm, and that irresistible Louisiana flair. I ordered the surf and turf tacos with queso and the shrimp fries, and let me just say WOW. The tacos were stuffed to perfection with juicy meat (pause) and tender shrimp, all smothered in a rich, creamy queso that tied everything together like a flavor symphony. And the shrimp fries? Crispy, seasoned just right, and loaded with generous, perfectly cooked shrimp an indulgent, satisfying bite in every handful. The ambience at the Almeda location adds to the whole experience. Welcoming vibes, and that laid-back Houston food truck energy that just makes you want to stay awhile. It's casual, fun, and filled with happy people clearly loving what they're eating. The food came out hot and fresh, and the service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about their food. They made sure everything was just right and even offered suggestions for my next visit (which I'm already planning). There's so much more I want to try on the menu, and I'm 100% coming back. If you're anywhere near the Almeda area, do yourself a favor skip the chains and treat yourself to It's Nola Baby. Your taste buds will thank you. Thank Me Later
