John was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and extremely kind! I was in and out and even recommended me the product that would help and I even came back to buy it! My check engine light was on and they did a scan FOR FREE! Would definitely recommend 10/10 service and experience

I would like to sincerely recognize AutoZone Store #1471 in Houston (Montrose area) for their truly outstanding customer service. I have visited this location several times and always noticed their high ratings, but this time I personally experienced just how exceptional this team really is. I purchased a starter on June 25, 2025, and when I returned for a warranty exchange, the receipt was not showing in the system. Even with a busy store and customers waiting, the entire team remained patient, kind, and deeply committed to helping me. They searched thoroughly, called the 1-800 number, and even contacted the district manager while working hard to locate my purchase. Store Manager John Stanford was wonderful, and team members Cooper and David were equally kind, professional, and attentive — not only to me, but to every customer. I have personally seen them go above and beyond, even stepping outside to look under customers’ hoods and help diagnose issues. Their knowledge, skill, and genuine care truly set this store apart. This was not a quick or simple situation, but they stayed with it until everything was resolved, and I was able to receive my replacement starter under warranty. I was honestly so grateful I almost had tears in my eyes. If you are looking for an AutoZone where people truly care about you, your vehicle, and the details of service, AutoZone #1471 is the place to go. I went in today for a 3rd high break light and The staff was so Helpful. Mr.John took his time to assistance with putting in my break light along with taken a look at my headlights. He did not just stop there but he also gave me Amazing feedback on what could be going on with my headlights and made a few suggestions/ recommendations before just buying new headlight bulbs. Which is Awesome to care about customers and not trying to just get them to Spend ( because One IM JUST A GIRL ) lol. Thank you Mr.John for your assistance even when it was getting a little bit busy!
