Popped in here on a Sunday morning after a friend told us about the granita shake. Came in on a Sunday morning around 8:45 and waited in a short line to order. My husband got the granita shake and I had an almond milk cortado, both great. We didn’t get anything to eat but the pastries in the case looking great so we will have to come back and try those another time.
Poorly made drinks and old stale baked goods. Skip this place. It was a HUGE waste of money. First ordered an iced Chai tea and it tasted like Chai mix and milk. So I exchanged for an iced white chocolate mocha. Surprise, there was no chocolate to be found! They use cheap powdered flavor mixers or something. I knew the drinks were gonna be bad cause they took only 2 minutes to make each time I ordered. The worst thing by far was the nasty baked goods we wasted money on especially this DISGUSTING piece of what is supposed to be red velvet cake. It rock hard and dry and tastes horrible. Took one bit and spit it out. ALL THE OTHER BAKED GOODS WERE HARD AND STALE!
I have been to Badolina Bakery a few times over the past few months, and the food has been consistently excellent. On New Year’s morning, I called hoping to get a full Basque cheesecake, even though they usually sell out and require at least 24 hours’ notice. Kim was incredibly helpful and made it happen with no hassle at all, which truly made our New Year’s celebration special. Beyond the delicious food, what really stands out is the customer service. I especially love the pizza focaccia, the cardamom bun, and the vanilla latte. I will absolutely be back.
Cake and service were both really good, and the place has a great vibe. Just be ready—it gets packed. We couldn’t find a table, which took away from the experience a bit.
A Little Slice of Heaven in Rice Village! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Badolina Bakery & Cafe is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough! Their Rice Village location is perfect, offering a wonderful atmosphere that's both bustling and cozy. Every visit has been a delight, thanks to their consistently friendly staff who always make you feel welcome. And the food? Oh, the food! Everything I've tried has been delicious, but the croissants are truly out of this world – flaky, buttery perfection that melts in your mouth. The shakshuka sandwich is another standout; it's a unique and incredibly flavorful option that I crave regularly. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee and pastry or a more substantial meal, Badolina delivers. It's quickly become one of my favorite spots in Houston!
