Was in the area looking for a dessert place and found this one highly recommend online. I was excited to see gluten free options and a lot of unique small cakes and baked goods. I got the tiramisu cheesecake for my husband and I got a gluten free spiced carrot cake muffin. The staff was not the most friendly but the baked goods were so good that I will be returning to check out more of the menu. They did seem to have a good amount of seating and it was quiet when I went so this would be a great place for a date or quiet place to study.

We live about 2 hours away but we’re looking for something sweet in the area and they did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly. The space was a little small but we enjoyed the cozy vibes. We shared 3 deserts and all were top notch. Turtle cheesecake was excellent. Cosmos brownie was out of this world both cheesecake were smooth and creamy. Finally we had red velvet Oreo brownie and it was wonderful served warm. Price were mid range from around 3.00 to 8.00 but for the proton and flavor well worth it.

I love this little bakery. The menu rotates so there are different things to look Forward to daily. I enjoy that there is a different flavor layer cake to experience. Plus they have coffee and wine! What more do you need?

First time visiting this shop with my sister. The atmosphere and overall look of the store were really cute and inviting. Unfortunately, our experience changed when we went to place our order. The staff member who helped us didn’t seem very enthusiastic about serving us. I’m not expecting over the top service, but when we mentioned it was our first time, I thought there might be a bit more guidance, like sharing customer favorites or walking us through the menu. She did go over it briefly, but her tone felt disinterested, and she even sighed when we asked for a few minutes to decide. We were the only customers there around 3:23 PM, so it was surprising that it seemed like an inconvenience. There was also a mix up with one of the pastries after we paid. But she quickly corrected her self. On top of that, they were out of straws, and asking for one felt like another inconvenience. That said, not everything was negative. The pastries themselves were really good, especially the turtle cheesecake, which was delicious. Overall, the shop has great potential and a nice vibe, but the customer service could definitely be improved.

I live very close to Red Dessert, I’ve been enjoying their coffee, treats, and hospitality since they opened. I cannot imagine why a couple of the reviews disparaged the staff! In the years I’ve frequented RD, I’ve seen many employees come and go, but I’ve never seen any of them “mistreating” any of the customers-quite the opposite! I HAVE seen rude and inconsiderate customers, but nothing but professional and friendly service. I’ve given 4 rather than 5 stars for the food because I wish that they had a few more dairy-free choices (what they have is great, with the possible exception of the way too sweet frosted cookies-it would be wonderful if the cookies themselves were something besides plain sugar- I’m thinking gingersnaps seasonally or dark chocolate?), but that’s probably because I’m such a frequent visitor. And, the 4 stars for atmosphere is totally beyond their control: I know it’s not just a coffee bar, it’s a paradise of sweets, but dang, there have been some extraordinary loud and messy little kids in here! Admittedly, I’m not a kid person, but I think the fact that the service can remain so friendly dealing with screaming kids and their equally loud parents says a lot. One last thing. I was at another big dessert and coffee place off Kirby and Richmond last night, and it made me appreciate Red Dessert’s food, service, atmosphere, and prices even more. My little Heights gem is SO much better. I’m just happy RD is so close to my home!
