Great time with friends. Good drinks. Some decent food options. The happy hour menu is great. The fried pickles & deviled eggs were super salty. The catfish nuggets, the sliders and the hot chicken were tasty although my hot chicken was much smaller than my friend's so there was a bit of inconsistency. I really enjoyed the Pims cup and the vibe of this place. overall a great experience. Also we lost at trivia... iykyk
We went to Winnie’s for brunch during Houston Restaurant Weeks and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the deviled eggs and shrimp & grits, and both were absolutely delicious. My food did come out quite a bit after everyone else’s in our group—even another order of shrimp & grits made it to the table before mine—but honestly, it was well worth the wait. The shrimp & grits were especially good and exceeded my expectations, particularly for a place I primarily think of as a cocktail bar. I also tried one of their special cocktails, a raspberry espresso drink, and it was delicious as well. Overall, great food and great drinks.
Found this place on Google. It was a hit. First off they have a good happy hour. Secondly they the music vibes were on point. And last the food was bomb 💣. I had oysters and catfish bites cooked a little more crispy. I sipped on that frozen peach bourbon tea. Clock ⏰️ that it's a win Will be back
I walked in and asked one of the staff what would be good for someone who just got out of oral surgery at M D Anderson. He suggested the blackened catfish over grits. I have to admit that it had been over 24 hours since I had solid food but I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! It was so delicious! I worked in New Orleans for many years and this dish was as good or better than anything I have ever eaten in NOLA.
We got the oysters, a seasonal special, and a signature cocktail. They were all great! The music is loud enough to drown out other convos and set a fun vibe, but quiet enough to still hear your own table. The staff is super nice. Right on the red line so it’s the perfect stop on your way to the rodeo.
