I needed to find a place I could actually trust for my boys—and I finally found it. After dealing with disappointing haircuts for years, I recently tried another shop that had great reviews. I showed a reference photo and instead of being honest about what they could or couldn’t do, they went ahead and cut nearly 4 inches off my son’s hair. It looked nothing like what we asked for and was honestly upsetting. Determined to fix it, I came across ConsciousCuts on Instagram and booked with Edward—and that decision completely turned things around. Because so much length had already been taken off, the original style my son wanted wasn’t even possible anymore. But instead of guessing or overpromising, Edward was upfront and explained exactly what could be done. He gave my son the best possible cut for where his hair is now and shaped it in a way that will grow out into the style he originally wanted. The difference was night and day. He took his time, paid attention to every detail, and most importantly—he listened. My son walked out feeling confident again, and that meant everything. Yami was amazing! She was very professional, welcoming, and easy to talk to. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. Everything was flawless. Taylor takes her time, and it shows. This is next-level craftsmanship. I’ve yet to come across a stylist in Houston with this level of dedication and precision. The attention to detail is exceptional… Best haircut I’ve had in Houston so far. 10/10, would absolutely recommend.

First time at Conscious Cuts was a pleasure. All of the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. My barber, Yami, was super nice and understood what I needed. I trusted Yami with my cut, and she delivered. I was very pleased with her work and I look forward to my next appointment.

Went to Yami a couple of days ago and got an amazing haircut. She really listened to what I wanted, then walked me through what she was planning to do instead of leaving me guessing while she was cutting my hair. I love how it turned out and will definitely be going back.
