Stop #7 on our Houston cidery & brewery exploration: Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. Love the space theme — “Houston, we don’t have a problem” with this one. A good selection of beer, plenty of room for large crowds, and lots to keep everyone entertained. Pool tables, foosball, ping pong, basketball hoops, and even air hockey make this a very family-friendly stop. Fun atmosphere, lively energy, and a great place to hang out for a while.
The place had a nice atmosphere. Laid back and not many customers during days without events. The reason I gave a two star rating is due what is seemingly discrimination. I have read reviews that the pool is free ; however, I was told "its for customers." Okay understandable. But I was also told I had to leave my ID. I did not see the party before me give an ID and nowhere on the reviews do I see such requirements, nor have I ever been asked to "leave an ID" as well as purchase to play a game. I feel that this place may cater to certain types of people and maybe everyone isnt welcomed. I would not have mind just paying for the game since I dont drink, but the feeling of not being trusted and being required to leave an ID was very off putting. Especially, when others may play for free and none were required to pay and leave an ID. Seems like only some customers are required to follow these arbitrary rules. Maybe if you look a certain way or are a certain race you will receive the good customer service other reviews talk about, but if not maybe you receive the same type of customer service I received or others who have complained about their experience. Unfortunately, I wont be back and cant recommend this place as a result of this type of interaction and what appears to be discrimination. But I wish the owners well.
I came here for a Paris Jackson concert and had a great experience and highly recommend it! It’s is split into two big rooms, one is open to the outdoors with lots of tables and chairs, water dispensers, pool tables, foosball tables, air hockey, and basketball games. Its a great area to sit and chat and have drinks, and the line for concerts trails through that room too The second room is the concert venue room which is very nice and cool inside and the lighting is great The employees were all helpful and made the process of scanning my ticket and doing a bag check very easy, and were helpful on the phone. The crowd was very diverse and everyone was friendly as well I highly recommend coming here just to hang out or for the concerts and other events, and I will keep an eye on upcoming events and look forward to coming back again!
They didn't have actual food, they had a food truck outside, I didn't get to get the food, but it looked delicious. The beer, the cider, and the cocktails were very good. The place was huge, and it was not packed. They can definitely use more tables. Other than that the place was very nice, very open, it was nice a cool in there. There were a lot of stuff to do for kids, in case you don't have a babysitter. Definitely recommend. I rated the food 5 stars, but it's meant for the drinks 😁.
Came here with the family to see Magnolia Park, great venue for the show. The choices of in house beer were great and reasonably priced. Food truck outside had smashburgers that tasted amazing with the beers (I had several of both the Fire Net and Absolute Legend).
