The bourbon selection is absolutely amazing! In addition to a standard set of whiskeys and Bourbons they have highly allocated items for sale. Yes they are pretty expensive but you may never be able to taste it otherwise as some of these bottles are thousands of dollars each. We wound up having to sit at the bar as every seat was taken but the bartender was incredibly friendly gregarious and attentive to us. The food came out fairly quickly. When we told him we wanted to split a large burger that actually cut it in half played it on two plates with fries on each so that we didn't have to cut it ourselves. Love the attention to detail and customer service!

We had a great experience at Bayou & Bottle. The atmosphere was relaxed yet upscale, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. I ordered the peach burrata salad and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The drinks were a bit pricey, but well made and thoughtfully crafted. Service was friendly and attentive, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. We’d definitely come back.

It has been several months since our last visit to Bayou & Bottle, and I honestly do not know whether last night was simply an off night or if the restaurant has changed. This used to be one of my favorite places in Houston. We have had business meetings here, dinners with friends, and visited often enough that one of the waiters once gave us one of the Texas-shaped cutting boards they use for serving food. This was truly one of our go-to spots. Unfortunately, last night was a major disappointment. We made a reservation for two, but when we arrived, there were practically no tables available. We were offered a six-top, then a very small four-person table in an undesirable location, and eventually the patio because that was all they had left. At that point, the reservation felt rather useless. Our waiter was clearly overwhelmed, and everything felt rushed. He was not rude, but the service was noticeably less attentive than what we had experienced in the past. The website advertises the “Return of Fried Chicken,” which used to be on the brunch menu, so my husband and I were excited to order it. We are both from the South and had high expectations based on our previous experiences here. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. First, the chicken is $42, not the $32 listed on the website. It also no longer comes with the honey butter they previously served. Instead, you receive dry biscuits with absolutely nothing for them—not butter, preserves, honey, or even a packet of anything. Our waiter admitted that it would be good to have something to accompany the biscuits, but the restaurant provides nothing. The chicken itself was extremely bland. It did not taste brined, seasoned, or flavorful in any way. For something listed as a “must try,” it was shocking. If you have ever had fried chicken at Tumble 22, the difference is dramatic. This was honestly some of the most flavorless fried chicken I have had in decades. The brisket sandwich was slightly better, but not by much. It was also very plain and tasted almost identical in texture and flavor to a Buc-ee’s brisket sandwich—just at a much higher price. And to be clear, Buc-ee’s is not a place I seek out for food. The best part of the evening was the drinks. Bayou & Bottle is still making excellent cocktails, but the food was a complete letdown. I especially miss the pulled pork sandwich, which used to be amazing. I am not sure what has happened, but this was the most bland and disappointing meal I have ever had here. After spending around $120, I am hesitant to return and risk having the same experience again.

Great experience and service! Food was excellent. We ate here a couple of times and our servers Adrian and Arllette and Mariana were amazing! We had Bayou Burger, Fish Tacos with drinks for lunch and then seafood cocktail, tortilla soup, and fish tacos again a different sitting. We had such a great time we found out about a tequilla tasting from bar manager Brianna and we ended up doing that and had blast. Highly recommend this place. Its high class and wonderful!

It was a wonderful dining experience indeed. We were literally spoiled by Chef Dominic. All his dishes tasted amazing 👏 🤩 and we all enjoyed our lunch there. All the staff were friendly and didn't rush us, we hope to come back each time we visit Houston.
