What a fantastic wine bar! If you’re looking for a wonderful and curated selection, knowledgeable and kind staff, and a cozy neighborhood feel, this is your place. Sandy was beyond kind and helped me with trying to find a specific French wine, and Gabriel was so generous and shared two separate tastings with me unprompted. I felt immediately at home and will absolutely be back. ❤️
This place was so cute and cozy! The owners were extremely friendly and inviting. They had a tasting with 4 different wines for $18--well worth the price. I even found a new favorite. The venue is a bit small/seating is limited, but if you go with a small group it's a really good time. I'll definitely be back for another wine tasting!
Everything about this cute gem was perfect! The hospitality, the wine selection, the charcuterie board(s) were perfect! The owners take the time to make u feel at home & help decide what wine & board is best for you! The board was not “basic”, you need to go and sample for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
The perfect place to stop by for a glass of wine (or three). Sandy and Mary are incredibly knowledgeable about different wines, regions, and producers. And if you’re hungry, Mary makes a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board!
Another potentially racist Houston establishment. Order the second you step in or be told to leave. We stopped by after our anniversary dinner at Baso, intending to order a glass of wine and try the place, and sat outside. No one came by for several minutes, so we decided to meet friends nearby and called an Uber. Right before it arrived, the owner came over and asked if we were ordering. We politely said we were about to leave, and were told we needed to leave immediately because it’s “not a public establishment.” This place wasn’t crowded at all, and we weren’t bothering anyone. The interaction felt unnecessarily harsh and unwelcoming, and it’s hard not to feel like this wouldn’t have happened if we were white. Won’t be back.
