Awesome place to grab a drink with the squad. It’s very close to several entertainment places such as the House of Blues and Toyota Center, so it can get packed after events. Despite that, it’s worth stopping by here over other bars. Their main thing it’s serving whiskey. They legit have a tower of whiskeys that is about 6-7 shelves high and require a ladder to reach the upper ones. Cheaper ones are lower while the most expensive ones are higher. They have a lot of variety here, from domestic to in the international whiskeys. I’ve stopped before and always chose to have whiskey, but this time I decided on their whiskey based cocktails. Very impressed with the selection. They were well prepared, added flavors did not overcome the taste of whiskey used. The atmosphere of the place is great, low light and lowkey yet it can attract lively crowds. You’ll find all kinds of people here. Solos sipping whiskey while reading a book or working on their laptop, energetic groups having a blast, etc. I say this is one of the better bars in the Houston downtown area.

Reserve 101 you owe me nothing! If you are looking for a nice cocktail and a place where you can just sit down and breathe for a second. You’ve found the place. The staff, customer service and ambiance this place brings is top notch! They are renovating soon and I have a feeling that if I like this place already I know I’m going to dig the changes to the layout.

Fantastic service! The bartenders are knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, and last but not least, make great drinks. The old fashioned was balanced, not too much spice nor too sweet. The tequila mojito was refreshing and balanced as well. Least favorite drink due to sweetness was clarified New York sour with notes of tootsie roll pop and cheesecake. I did go from 5-7pm which contributed to the availability of the bartenders and chill vibes. Side note: essentially no food.

Beautiful cocktail bar right downtown. It was super calm on a Tuesday night. All their drinks looked so great and their whiskey selection was massive. Three of us all truly enjoyed our cocktails and the prices were fair.

I cannot recommend Reserve 101 enough! From the moment you walk through the door, you are hit with the most entrancing, intoxicating aroma—it’s that perfect mix of rich oak, caramelized sugar, and a hint of vanilla that immediately tells you you’re in for a high-end experience. It is simply divine. If you are looking for a cozy, upscale, and trendy atmosphere to enjoy a sophisticated drink in downtown Houston, this is the spot. I’ll be dreaming about that smell until my next visit! Speaking of drinks, they have over 1,000 different whiskies from 16 countries. The bartenders are true masters of their craft—incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and happy to help you find the perfect pour, whether it's one of their expertly crafted cocktails. The renovated, cozy, and dimly lit space is perfect for a date night or a deep dive into the world of whiskey. Do yourself a favor and stop by this downtown Houston gem. A must-visit!
