I really loved the place—the service is excellent, and best of all, they have a great selection of wines :)
So ridiculously over priced. Decent wine selection and we had a great bottle but there are other places in Houston with better and less expensive. Food was OK but just OK. It felt like an overpriced Postino.
Love the symposium Saturdays. There used to be street parking but I think they took that aw1ay. Valet isn't too bad but it's always nice to have the option for self-parking that is free. The sommeliers here are awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, and they always make a good program where I buy at least 1 bottle to go.
What a wonderful experience! I came to try “so you want to be a somm” wine flight and learn as much as possible for the certified exam. Brenda & Eddy nocked it out of the park! They were both so kind, knowledgeable and not to mention patient; I had a lot of questions. Brenda brought out a discontinued CMS deductive tasting workbook and Eddy would walk me through what I was tasting, helped me connect the dots and gave me a lot of key indicators. Tools that many wine schools would charge top dollars for. So thankful for them. PS: make a reservation or follow them on instagram they have a lot of private events. I came twice before realizing a reservation was necessary. PSS: there is one hour retail parking in front of Stella’s wine bar that valet will commandeer maybe around 4:30 but I saw plenty of people (patrons and Post Oak employees) driving into the parking lot that had valet only do not enter signs.
Went with a friend this past weekend to Stella’s. It’s great. It’s smaller than what I thought it would be and there’s a great patio for cooler weather, not for the summer weather. The staff is so attentive and helpful. They know and understand the varietals available. The charcuterie board is really good and the options are varied. There are also sliders and flatbreads available. I’ll definitely be back.
