Very disappointing experience last night. I’m a regular customer here, come often, and spend money consistently. Craig is always 10/10—professional, friendly, and one of the main reasons I return. Unfortunately, another bartender (white woman) has always taken a long time to acknowledge me, but last night it crossed the line into blatant unprofessionalism. While serving other white customers around me, she ignored me repeatedly. When I finally asked to order, she said, “You only left me $2 last time,” which was false and unnecessary. I tipped $10 on my previous visit. As a Black woman, being singled out like that while others sat there agreeing and staring was extremely uncomfortable. No regular paying customer should be treated this way. Management needs to address this immediately, because staff like Craig deserve better coworkers representing the bar.
Great little dive just outside of all the fancy bars in downtown. Atmosphere is great, service was great. All around just good vibes. I’m glad I stumbled upon it. They don’t have food but you can bring in outside food so you get to eat what you want in a great bar! 100% recommend this place to anyone that is downtown.
Craig is by far the best bartender I’ve seen in years! And I’m from New Orleans, so that’s saying a lot. Please keep that guy around, his positive energy radiates among the patrons and is key to the awesome atmosphere warrens provides. Will be back most definitely. Because of Craig, you earned a forever customer =)
The extreme dive bar experience and I'm living for it! Visited a few times when I resided in the downtown area and had to come back with my boyfriend when we were in town. Same charm and laid back environment I loved and appreciated. Service was on point(I wish I remembered the female bartender's name, she was there a Saturday night) amazing! Hope to become some what regulars if we find ourselves back in Houston.
There are a lot of reasons why this historically and currently is a 5 star bar. As a dive bar, this is one of the best you will go to. Say whatever you want about the service, but I always find it straightforward and honest. The vibes of this place are immaculate, and you would find it hard to replicate this feeling at any other bar in the city. Drinks are always stiff, and the times are always good if you go in knowing all this to be true.
