We recently visited this barbecue spot on Highway 6 and decided to order a little bit of everything, and we were impressed across the board. Every dish was packed with flavor. The brisket was incredibly tender, and both the regular sausage and jalapeño sausage were absolutely amazing. The street corn was delicious, and the loaded potato salad was easily one of our favorite sides. The barbecue fried rice was so delicious that I ended up ordering another serving to go before we left. It was packed with flavor and quickly became one of the highlights of the meal. The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the poor man’s mac , but that certainly didn’t take away from what was otherwise a fantastic meal. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food and plenty of flavor in every bite. We’ll definitely be back for more.

Overall, the texture of the meats were perfect, but they seriously lacked any flavor. There was only a slight smokey taste to the brisket. Of all the meats we tried, the pulled pork was the highlight. It's worth a try but for the price, I wouldn't be coming back. We heard great reviews about this place online and saw that it was Michelin recommended so we went to try it out but it was underwhelming. It wasn't too busy and there was no line when we went during lunchtime on Saturday. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the pulled pork, brisket, pork rib, and beef rib (only available weekends). They are known for the brisket but it didn't have any flavor and barely any smokiness. Surprisingly, my favorite was the pulled pork, which had that classic BBQ taste, slightly sweet, and super tender. Out of all the meats we got, it had the most flavor. The beef rib was massive and easy to cut, but the inside lacked seasoning. The pork rib was a huge letdown, as it was tough, barely had any meat, and difficult to remove from the bone. They gave us a massive amount of sliced bread, BBQ sauce (probably so they can make up for their lack of flavor), and their pickled sides. The pickled cucumber was really good. They were really crunchy and not too sour, with the texture more in between a cucumber and pickle. They also gave us sides of pickled radish that was in the same brine.

This was some really good BBQ. I have been wanting try this place and it di not disappoint. Had the brisket and rice plate, jalapeño sausage, and a spare rib. All of it was excellent. The brisket was moist and tender with great smoke. The jalapeño sausage had a great smoke flavor with just the right amount of spiciness. The spare ribs were super tender with great flavor. I will add this to my list recommended places and return again soon.

Hmmm what can I say. First, this place was super busy, line moved ok and the food came out super fast. Now I would have been excited to review the food, if I had gotten the right food. The girl behind the register was nice but she definitely wasn’t listening to me. She was more involved with the food coming out for the people waiting. I WANTED to order Brisket N Rice with the reg jasmine rice, she decided to put fried rice. I wanted to order second Brisket N Rice with fried rice, she decides to put down bbq fried rice (which does not come with brisket on top, more just chopped in the rice) I asked what is poor man’s Mac, she described what it was, and decided to add it to my order. I had to get her to take that off cause I just wanted to find out what it was. I asked can you take off the green onions from the loaded potato salad, she said yeah! Yet when I got it, they threw a whole handful on top of my potato salad. I’m not one to complain, they were really busy. So I took my food and sat down. The meat was reallyyyy tender, it was amazing how soft it was. I’ll probably come back when it’s not so busy, it was Mother’s Day so who knows. But gotta be after that payday cause dang, it’s a bit pricey, but most bbq places are.

I had had this place on my must-visit list for several months. It’s a small spot, but thoughtfully laid out. As the name suggests, their specialty is rice and brisket, though they also offer a great variety of sides and main dishes. We tried the fried rice and the brisket, along with the street corn and coleslaw. The brisket was outstanding—I can confidently say it’s among the best I’ve had in Texas. The Asian-style fried rice, with its distinct Texas twist, was something completely new to me and an absolute stroke of genius. Special mention goes to their mustard BBQ sauce, which is simply delicious.
