Great BBQ and hospitality! Found Flossie’s BBQ today to take my little sister for lunch near her house. I called earlier in the day to make sure they were open, and when I got there, the owner recognized me from the phone call without me even saying a word. He was even nice enough to throw in an extra chicken leg with my 3-meat plate. The sausage was amazing, well seasoned with a perfect snap to the casing. The brisket was moist, ribs fell-apart, and the chicken was juicy. Their sauce was sweet and tangy, and the sides were solid as well. Amazing service and establishment! Can’t wait to go back!

Been looking for the best BBQ in Houston and I found it here. Its not overwhelming with smoke flavor and is not dried out like other places I've been. Had the bbq chicken and brisket plate with brisket dirty rice and greens with turkey in it. To describe it best understood, juicy and flavorful balanced perfectly. Be on point though, because the best usually run out fast, and that's the case for Flossie's. If you get there too close to closing time, you'll miss out. Oh yea, the cupcakes are unique and tasty as well. I challenge anyone that there is a bbq place better than Flossie's. Mike drop.

Never ate here before but I saw it on Google Maps, and it’s not too far from my house, so I gave it a try. I’m sure as hell glad I did! I ordered online about 5:30PM. Arrived about 6:15, door was locked. We were sitting there thinking about where else we could eat in the area, and the owner came out, obviously on his way home. We explained our situation and I honestly expected a story about how they were out of food and closed. The owner went back jnside and made our order, even included extra food for us having to wait, and he was even very friendly about it. His service alone is hard to top. But the food was even better than the service. It’s some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had, and I’m an old man from East Texas. The brisket was as good as, or better than, those famous places in Lockhart, and the sausage was incredible, and both cooked and seasoned just right. The potato salad and beans were also great. No wink link in the food or service. The only thing I can think of to tell the owner is, keep up the good work. I will definitely be back.

I ordered a combo plate and I'd say it's definitely worth it. It's hard to find a good value nowadays but this is where you go if you're looking to stretch your dollar. I got enough food for two days and it's so delicious. The meats are flavorful and tender. Highly recommend y'all try it out.

I sometimes get the feeling that when you walk into a bbq restaurant, you can usually tell how fire its going to be when the decor is basic and minimal. No floor just bare concrete, family or other pictures on the wall. Think Thelma's for those old enough to remember. The service was great! The 2 ladies up front were very helpful. The food. BRISKET DIRTY RICE. Yes, brisket dirty rice, I dont need to say anything more lol. The brisket is definitely present in the dirty rice. The dirty rice is still spicy as it should be, but now has the extra flavor of brisket drippings all over it. The brisket and sausage is so good. Brisket melts in your mouth as it should and has great flavor. Some bark on the brisket so thats a big plus for me. Sausage appears home made and has good spice and bite. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend.
