Henderson & Kane delivered one of the best brisket experiences I’ve had in Houston. From the very first bite, the smoke flavor came through deep into the meat, and the fat was rendered perfectly rich, tender, juicy, and full of flavor without being greasy. The brisket had an excellent bark, great texture, and the kind of balanced smoke profile that shows real skill and attention to detail. The sweet potato kale side was also outstanding and paired perfectly with the meat. This was easily a 5 out of 5 experience and has officially become one of my favorite barbecue spots in Houston. I will definitely be back.
Delicious BBQ options. Ordered a 2 meat plate and came with 2 sides. Brisket, turkey, and jalapeño sausage were all great as well as the Mac n cheese and ranchero beans. They also had some dessert options available. They have all sorts of drinks in bottles and beers on draft. They also sell a bunch of other stuff in the store and have a cafe inside as well.
This is the spot for some excellent barbecue. The flavor of the well seasoned chicken and ribs did not disappoint. The ribs were also very tender. This place has a Cracker Barrel flare to it with all the extra goodies to purchase. I recommend dinning here 💯
I’m so glad that we stopped in this adorable little country store - which is also historical – in the heart of Houston. I would’ve never known that they served barbecue just walking by. A place where you can get convenient store items with real farmers market neighborhood feel. The food was phenomenal both the meats and the sides.
What a vibe! They hit all of the marks for great food, atmosphere, and service. I ordered tacos with brisket and pork that were delicious and grabbed a bev from the many options offered in their cooler. I will definitely be back for their weekly specials. They made me feel welcome and comfortable while I enjoyed an amazing lunch!
