After realizing Ive never tried their brisket bbq potato I went over to buy some. I live 5 minutes away and have been there plenty of times. Over the years my family and I have been more and more disappointed with each visit. First of, there was like a chipotle spoon of meat on the potatoes and half of it was fat. They were the driest bbq potatoes we’ve ever had. I had to put a whole thing of bbq sauce to be able to eat it. You’d think they would at least add a good amount of butter, sour cream, cheese and onions but you’d be wrong. Needless to say their bbq potatoes suck. The mac and cheese is still the best Ive had. The banana pudding and bread pudding were once the only reason I would go here again but neither of those two are the same they used to be. Really think that was my last time going here. After getting the bag I knew there was not enough food for my family. I went to central bbq on my way home and got their bbq potato for the same price and everyone agreed it was 10 times better than killens

Killen’s BBQ in Pearland absolutely lives up to the hype. I had the brisket, and it was outstanding perfectly smoked, incredibly tender, and packed with rich, smoky flavor in every bite. You can really tell they take their craft seriously. For dessert, I tried the bread pudding, and it was just as impressive warm, indulgent, and the perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. It’s no surprise they’ve earned Michelin recognition. From the quality of the food to the overall experience, everything was top-notch. Definitely a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Pearland!

My boyfriend is a huge fan of bbq. He has tried several bbq restaurants and was excited to visit Killen's on our visit to Houston. We got there a little late close to 12 and so of course there was a line out the door. It moved pretty quickly and everyone in line was friendly. Once we got in bbq fever set it! Everything looked great but we strategized and decided on 4 meats. I'm allergic to pork so I opted for the turkey plate. He ordered the beef rib, the brisket and ribs. I really like that they show you the sides that are made with pork and the sides that are made without it. I was a little disappointed that the Mac and cheese didn't have the option of not being made with pork because it looked absolutely delicious. I opted for the mashed potatoes and broccoli & rice sides. My boyfriend had the mac and cheese and potato salad. All of the sides were delicious. My turkey was tender, juicy and flavorful. The brisket was juicy but could use a little more flavor as well as the beef rib. The regular ribs were tasty according to my boyfriend. I also had the bread pudding for dessert it was yummy. I will say that the hard cider that I ordered was very refreshing and crisp. Seating inside can get tricky if there is a large group or two. The staff helped us secure a table. Overall I would say Killen's is a good bbq restaurant and I would visit again.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant for the first time. The entire experience was fantastic for my family and I. Our waiter, Juju, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, answering all our questions about the menu. We opted for the family platter, which included turkey and brisket, and added a pound and a half of beef ribs. We also chose macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and Brussels sprouts as our side dishes. Every bite was delicious—the meats and sides were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. They were incredibly tender and flavorful, and we all decided not to add sauce to them. While all the sides were delicious, the Brussels sprouts were my absolute favorite. 😍 The brisket deviled eggs and bread pudding were soooo good too!!!!!!

Quality…quality…quality! When you are paying top dollar for meat (beef rib), you don’t want a maybe! You get what you pay for at Killen’s! Not all barbecue is created equally! (Even in Texas!) We always eat at Killen’s when we are here from Alabama! There’s nothing like it in our area!
