My friend, who lives in Houston, brought me here before dropping me off at the airport, and it's easily one of the best BBQ spots I've ever been to. Manager Valerie and worker Diamond really made my day! I made a rookie mistake, and they were incredibly kind and understanding about it. Diamond has such a friendly and bubbly personality that we need more of in the restaurant industry. I ordered the loaded baked potato with brisket, and it was massive! It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it, and it was big enough for leftovers. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Houston. The tables are set up family-style, and the BBQ sauces are conveniently right there on the table.
Probably the most disgusting BBQ I ever had in Texas. Chopped Beef was 60% gristle and spongy. Had to chew forever to break it down. What gives Rudy? Your crew can spot overly grisly Meat better than anyone but yet they weigh it out by the tea spoon and serve it at a premium price. Time to consider turning this spot into a fuel and snack shop.
I was here for the week for work and had Rudy’s twice! Delicious barbecue, generous portions, speedy delivery ! We ordered via Ubereats and special care was made with not just how the food was cooked but also with how it was prepared for delivery! The pictures don’t do it justice! I really appreciated the attention to detail! The barbecue ( sausage, pork ribs, and moist brisket)was delicious! I also had Rudy’s Beans and creamed corn for sides. Serious Texas Deliciousness!!!
This is an incredibly good place for what it is and where it is - you get greeted at the door when you walk in, it smells delicious the minute you step in - they have really good systems that gets you through the line quickly - their ribs are amazing - you pull your drink out of a ice cold tub and you feel like you’ve walked back in the country - if I’m ever on this side of town, this is always one of my go to places
We were coming through Houston and were searching for a quick place to stop for BBQ. Initially I was a little skeptical, but had misjudged. This is an order at the counter type of place and everything is a’ la carte - but don’t give up yet. The meat is served by weight and is absolutely amazing! The moist brisket was so good. The star of the show: the cream corn!!! Oh my! Seriously, other than the lack luster service of those working the counter - this place is 100% worth visiting.
