This was my first time visiting this location, and the brisket was tender and seasoned evenly. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was delicious. The meat wasn’t dry or tough—it was perfectly tender. I will say that the portion of brisket was small; I received two thin slices, so adding another slice would make it even better.The mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy. I also tried the chi-cha (charro chili) beans, which were full of flavor and had a slight kick. I definitely recommend these two sides.In addition, I ordered a baked potato with brisket. It was soft and had a great flavor. I will recommend this place to everyone—definitely give it a try. They also offer catering options for your entire family.As for the price, it wasn’t expensive. I do recommend this place.
I love supporting black owned businesses. But I want a reason to go more than once. The food was just ok. Brisket was dry but tender. Baked beans were tangy (not in a good way) and grainy. The Mac and cheese had a good taste but stuck together like it had been sitting for a while. Nothing tasted fresh as it was bearly warm and we waited 30 minutes to pickup and live 10 minutes away. No pickles or onions. Not sure I’ll go back. I really wanted to love it.
This was one of the best places for good BBQ I've had in quite some time! Loved their attitude and wish them nothing but the best. The perfect spot to grab some food after an afternoon of racing at Xtreme - Houston!
first time try this out. different from what i usually eat at other places but overall tasty. the portion is huge !!
We came around 3 p.m., just as they were getting ready to leave for a catering job. When the owner noticed our disappointment, he kindly offered to stay and serve us. We ordered everything we wanted: briskets, ribs, boudin sausage links, a loaded baked potato, collard greens, and mac & cheese. They stayed about 15 more minutes just to prepare our food. Everything was absolutely delicious—especially the ribs and boudin links—and their friendly service really stood out. We truly appreciated their kindness and the great food. Highly recommended!
