Yesterday was my first visit to this establishment. The employees were so welcoming and friendly. I ordered the market salad with turkey and a sliced brisket sandwich. I sampled the vegan sausage and I loved it so I plan to return to try it. The food was good but a little too pricey for me.

Originally, this place was not on our itinerary when we came to Texas. We just so happen to be hungry and The Pit Room was in the area. So we gave it a try. The food was so amazing, and flavorful. The portions were not scamp compared to other bbq spots I've been to. I selected the 3 meat combo. I also bought a chocolate chip cookie and blue bell Ice cream after my mean. I'm really glad we gave them a try because we would have missed out on something wonderful. Right place, Right time.

This is some of the best barbecue I’ve had in Houston. Robby the bartender took care of us and the experience was excellent. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure all of my needs were taken care of. The food was excellent. I ordered the two meat dinner with beef sausage and brisket. The sausage was moist and flavorful. The brisket was smoky and had just enough fat. I paired it with the jambalaya and mac and cheese as sides. I would definitely recommend coming here and if you do, go visit Robby at the bar.

We hit The Pit Room last night for dinner with another couple, first time there so we went with the sampler tray to try a little bit of everything. Would return for another meal but like Lisa said she would just order for herself and not the platter. We felt the sides could be better but I thought all the meats were good, turkey was probably the best.

A little back story. I’m from San Francisco and the Bay Area isn’t known for nor has decent bbq in my opinion. I come to visit Houston at least once a year and by far some of the best food I’ve had in my life every time I come. Today I landed and craved some authentic Texas Bbq and The Pit Room did not disappoint! I came during lunch and ordered brisket, ribs, chicken, jambalaya, Mac, and potato salad. And I devoured that whole platter! It didn’t have a chance after the first bite of that brisket. I mean it was pepper, salty, savory, fatty, tender everything you think brisket is was delivered! The only sad thing is I don’t think I have time to come back to try other things on their menu. Next time I come back to Houston, I can’t wait to bring my daughter and wife here to try it and experience their delicious well crafted food. You made me into a huge fan
