Excellent service by David and his staff. David and the team has worked after hours twice to make sure my boat was ready for out of town poker runs. Can’t thank them enough for what they do to insure I make my runs. Most places would say “we’re not open”, but they make sure it’s done and done right!!!

I brought my boat to Gulf Coast Marine in March of 2024 to get an oil leak fix and the tune adjusted at the recommendation of my engine builder. After discussions with David he advised he hoped to have the oil leak fixed in 2 weeks and would then start on the tune. He ended up taking until July to get the oil leak fixed. I would never hear from him and it got to I would phone every day to speak with him to be told he would call me back and he never would. About every 6 weeks I would catch him on the phone and he would advise he had to get his big money customers to Desert Storm, Outlaw Shootout, or some other event and then he would get back to my boat. The fact that I like to use my boat as well was lost on him apparently. After July 4th he started on the tune and again I would never hear from him minus the usual having to get people to other boating events. I ended up getting my engine builder to call David to get him moving and that helped. David would work on the tune but could not get it right. I ended up getting advised that the boat was fine except for the tune and to take it to a tuner. When I picked the boat up( in March of 2025) it was disgusting, covered in mildew, my swim steps were damaged where David had not checked my outdrive when he raised it, my passenger seat was torn, and there was a ton of corrosion. David’s response to this was “there’s salt in the air.” I ended up taking the boat to a tuner only to discover that the issue was a fuse, apparently fuses are beyond David and his staff capabilities. In summary if you want to always to be shuffled behind people, never get updates on your project, and your boat neglected, by all means go see David Whelan at Gulf Coast Complete Marine(if you do take your boat here tell him your going to Desert Storm, LOTO or Key West and he may work on your boat). My receipt asked me to leave a review so here it is. In summary this is the worst business I’ve ever dealt with in any industry in my life.

Called to get some parts for my Yamaha outboards. The guy on the phone made is seem like I was the dumbest person for even calling and seemed like I was the worst inconvenience he'd had all day. Then in the middle of conversation, with no "hold please" or "just a sec" he literally just set the phone down on the counter and I could hear him doing other things. I had to call back, TWICE! This dude needs to go work for the Post Office, he'd fit right in. There are so many Yamaha dealers in the area, why screw with somebody like this? Read the other reviews, this single guy is responsible for other 1 star reviews.

David is running an excellent Pathfinder dealership and service experience. My wife and I are owners of a new 2600 TRS and Chris was our service advisor for a couple of small factory fixes. The service experience Chris Bailey delivered was incredible from the moment we inquired for support to when I picked it up the boat. He deeply cares about the entire customer experience journey and we are deeply grateful he took care of us every step of the way always answering every question in depth and never in a rush. These guys are the very BEST pathfinder dealer in the Houston/Galveston area. Don’t go anywhere else!

I forgot to leave a review from last Fall, but I just recommended this shop to a friend. I had family coming in town from out of state and they were all excited to go out in the boat. Well, on the way to the ramp a solenoid decided to stop working and my jackplate was stuck all the way up and I couldn’t have used the boat. I called this shop and to my surprise they answered on a Saturday morning. The gentleman said swing by and I can take a look. 1.5 hours later he had me up and running! I was able to take the family out on the water and he gained a new customer and many others that I continue to refer for top not service when he didn’t have to. Thank you. Brian League City
