I don't believe the negative reviews on here. Must be people who don't understand anything, or are trying to get something for nothing, or are "plants" by a competitor. The guys at Houston Boat Service are fantastic! I had routine maintenance done 2 years ago and it came out fast, perfect, and reasonably priced. They even cleaned up the bilge and left it spotless. Recently I had major work done because of an accident, and they went above and beyond to do a great job. They had to completely disassemble the outdrive and pull the motor to make the repairs, including removing part of the interior to get the motor out, but they got the whole job done in a week. They again cleaned the boat up spotless, and even got mildew stains out of the upholstery and buffed out some scratches in the gel coat... at no extra charge! The owner even took the time to negotiate with the insurance adjuster on my behalf to get a fair settlement. I highly recommend these guys!

I took my boat in for a complete rebuild and the owner (Jim) was wonderful to work with. He was very honest and professional throughout the entire process, as well as text me pictures almost daily of the progression they were making which I was very thankful for due to barely being able to control my excitement. I would highly recommend Jim and Houston Boat Services for all your boating needs.

Do not go here!! All around trying to steal your money! Charge you for work they don't do. Had a whole bunch of work done and said everything was perfect. Boat never ran! Then we went into the motor to look at what they did and not half of it was done! We fixed it ourselves and got it running. Then go out and the lower unit goes out because of bad seals leaked water into lower unit. Which they was supposed to inspect and change fluids. Beware!

If I could give 0 stars I would have.Took my boat to get it checked out charged me 173 dollars to basically tell me they didn't have the part to do the job and then on top of that lost my transom saver which is about 60 dollars then told me it probably fell off. When I had it strapped lol. gave allot of attitude over the phone.. so please don't make the same mistake I did and trust these fruads. Unless you like giving your money to people for nothing and get stuff taken off your boat. Because now im out more then 200 and my boat is in another shop with good reviews dont be like me and not check the reviews.. stay away at all cost from these shady people.

Over charged me and still didn't fix the root problems. Plus they only hook your boat up with the water hose, no real water setting. Wouldn't recommend to others. Owner even tried to hustle his way into buying my boat for cheap to make a flip. Ridiculous, SMH. Unless you have money to throw away, I'd look else where....
