The French toast was delicious however it was too sweet. I loved the flavor combination with every bite. The sweetness was quite heavy. The eggs were cooked perfect and the chicken sausage was amazing. I would have liked the patty to be a little thicker. The coffee was very good, just the fight amount of flavor and sweetness. There wasn't much seating available or parking.
The plain french toast was great, I was actually impressed, our hashbrowns were salty, the pancakes were decent, the chilequiles werent chilequiles but they were decent to eat. The kids did enjoy their food. $5 for a kids size orange juice for each one of us and mint lemonade that was all ice. Then they ask for a tip at the register when you order; We dont mind tipping but at a full service restaurant, where we have a waiter/ress. We still tipped just not a usual 20%, even though we thought it was ridiculous to begin with. Mind you we had to pick up our own drinks at the counter. Cancel this type of tipping culture with no table service.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dandelion Cafe is a must-visit in the Heights! I ordered the breakfast huevos con chorizo taco, and it was incredibly flavorful. It came with a cumin-based sauce that was a little different from what I expected, but it paired perfectly with the tacos and added a unique, delicious touch. I also tried the lemon blueberry French toast, and it was absolutely exquisite. It was the perfect balance of sweet and fresh, with amazing flavor in every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!
Our meals were a delight! The pancakes are always on point! They are great serving size. I always have leftovers and plan my next breakfast from it. The chicken sausage is the best I've ever had! I don't think I've ever had a chicken this flavorful. And I would buy this if they sold it in a store. But it would also lose its small business quality, so I don't want them to package it and sell it in stores. But maybe if they sold it out of the restaurant, I would definitely buy it and droves. We have the salad the freshness of the ingredients were perfection! And my friend did not like the vinaigrette that was served with it, but I'm pretty sure it's because it wasn't stirred or shaken before being served. So, she did have to ask for a different type of dressing. But she also enjoyed the salad plain.. My other friend really loved the breakfast sandwich! The chicken was cooked to the perfect temp. The other ingredients and especially the bun on the sandwich were phenomenal! The atmosphere and the space at this location are nice. I love the outdoor seating, but it was very windy yesterday so we sat indoors. There was one group that was very loud and rude, but it did not stop the smiles and the cordiality of the staff there. We got there around noon, my two friends were already in line, so I went to grab a table. The tables seem to start opening up around that our. Before that, it was very crowded. After we sat down, more tables emptied out
While the food was decent with large portions the lack of table service for the price point wasn't ideal. After ordering at a counter, you have to get your own water glasses(small)/refills and silverware etc. No coffee refills which isn't ideal for a breakfast setting. The parking is really difficult as there are only a few spots in lot and then you have to park on a random street close by.
