The Fire Roasted Peach Cobbler French Toast is delicious! Be sure to read the jokes on the wall to the restroom for some good comedic fun!
This is our consistently go-to breakfast place because of the great food and service. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, the fruit is always fresh, and the drinks are refilled frequently (my pet peeve!). The environment is never too noisy, and it’s got a friendly vibe. Love this place!
I don’t eat meat. I ordered shrimp and grits bc the ingredients seem self explanatory however they aren’t. There’s bacon all throughout the grits. When I called and told them this the only offer was to come back to the store and get a replacement. So if you don’t have a car to go back up there to get your food fixed pay attention. This is bacon and grits with a few shrimp.
Came with as a group of three. First time ever to Toasted Yolk. Sat in a far corner which we love being out of the way. Server was overworked with a lot of tables. Ordered our food and drinks. One of party members got a cocktail but it was filled to the brim with ice then drink barely met two-thirds of the way up. It did not feel like it was worth $13. Then the food came out. Ordered dragonfruit pancake was drenched with the topping making the pancakes soggy and fell apart. Couldn't even finish the pancake because it was extremely sweet. Small portions for the price. Also ordered additional sides and iced coffee that we never got. All together, tab ended around $70 for three entrees ($15, $16, $17), three slices of chewy bacon ($6) and a cocktail ($13). Overall, it was not a good experience. Both food and service was below acceptable. Maybe we came on a bad day because it was highly recommended. Maybe we will try again but then again, there are a lot more brunch/breakfast places we can explore as well.
My daughter and I went to the Toasted Yolk and were so pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be just a plain little breakfast spot but had a nice atmosphere with a great Texas/Houston vibe. The food was excellent - traditional, not trying to be too fancy and still so yummy. Only negative was I wish there was a few vegan options. I found a few vegetarian options though! French toast was perfect! And really nice staff, spread a little thin but not an issue at all!
