Heard many good things about Rodeo Goat. We were so excited to try before heading to the FIFA Fan Fest. It was a hot summer day, so we opted for indoor seating. They have fun burger options, however we were quite disappointed in the quality and lack of flavor. Marvin Zindler: 6.8/10 The meat was dry and overcooked so when you bite into it, it crumbles. It needed more sauce. Inspector Clouseau: 5/10 The burger was sitting in French onion sauce which made the bun soggy. Very messy and hard to eat with your hands, had to end up eating with a knife and fork. We ordered side of fries with each burger, and opted to upgrade one to chili cheese fries. When the food was brought out, we had a side fries and a whole, large order of the Cheese Fries Surprise. However we saw a customer behind us with a small order of the cheese fries surprise. I just felt our server should have clarified the size with us. So be aware when “upgrading” your side fries. Overall, this burger joint was a let down and not for us.
Super cute, great service and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the jalapeño cheese tator tots. Parking sucks, but everything else was great! The Parking across the street is $50. Pretty pricey.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re in Houston — especially near downtown or the convention center — and you love a great burger, Rodeo Goat is a must-go. We had the Cheese Fries to start, and they were fantastic — crispy, loaded, and full of flavor. The Bodacious Burger absolutely lived up to its name. Juicy, bold, and mouthwateringly good. I also tried one of the smash-style burgers on a return trip. It was still very good, but honestly not as memorable as the specialty burgers like the Bodacious. If you’re choosing, go with one of their signature creations. Now let’s talk dessert. If you have even the slightest bit of room, get the Cow Patty (chocolate & pecan Texas sheet cake served warm with a scoop of ice cream). It is absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we came back on a separate trip just for the dessert — the burger was basically the sidebar. 😂 The atmosphere is lively and fun. The music is a little loud for my taste (I’m old, so no biggie), but there’s plenty of space. We went at a crazy busy time downtown with a party of eight and were still seated in about 45 minutes — honestly not bad at all. Service was fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend. If you’re in the Houston area and want a great burger, don’t hesitate to check it out.
I love their burgers. The fries could be better—they were dry and lacked flavor. The space feels a bit tight, and they could use more room. The milkshakes are A1. The bartender could be more enthusiastic. It’s a busy place and definitely needs more parking. Overall, it’s one of the few spots I’ve found that serves high-quality, delicious meat. I would recommend a friend .
Really enjoyed the burger at Rodeo Goat! The flavor was great, and you can tell they put some thought into their burgers. The fries were a bit too oily for my taste, but overall the experience was good. Despite that, I’d definitely come back again! 🤣🍔
