I heard about this restaurant before traveling to visit Houston so I wanted to make sure that I visited it before I left. It was about a 45 minute drive, and I can tell you that it was worth every mile driven. I got my food to go, but before I left, I had to make sure that I tasted a few things. I bought the Boudin balls, catfish, and shrimp plate, a bowl of gumbo, and a seafood boil. Everything was cooked very well and very tasty. Two corrections that I think would only make it better the next time I visit would be 1. season the red beans and rice, they were cooked well but a little bland, and 2. No corn starch on the gumbo. Take the time to perfect that roux. That atmosphere was vibrant and very fun, and Happy Bootz (that’s his name),was running the place. He was extremely attentive to every person there, making sure that their order was correct, that they had every sauce needed, extra paper towels, and making sure that they all knew where the drinks were. Can never judge a place by its Initial appearance, and location within the city. This place is a star, a diamond in the rough, And I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Cajun Stop in Houston never disappoints! The food was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The seafood was seasoned perfectly, the portions were great, and the customer service was amazing from start to finish. Everything came out fast and tasted so good. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Cajun food in Houston I’ll for sure be coming back!

Crap, they only offer 5 ⭐⭐ but this place is a hidden gem hunny! We stopped by 4 days ago hint to why it took a while for me to review, now it'll be packed. No there was no crowd got there about 6pm & the cashier/host was beautiful inside & out. She took our order, served us, and wipe down other tables with no problem. The Crawfish was spectacular, I think it was by 3 lb get one free, I should have got extra spicy like she suggested but this was my first time. The boudin rolls were spring so no thick crust, the popcorn shrimp basket took the cake. Whatever better that they use was season 2 perfection the french fries was delicious, the shrimp fried rice had extremely clean shrimp, they took their time with the shrimp. Overall I will be back next weekend and the weekend after that!!!!!!!

If you’re looking for great service and even BETTER craw-daddies, come to Cajun Stop! The staff is always very welcoming and friendly and the craw-daddies are ALWAYS 10/10 (size, flavor, and price!) Be sure to ask your server about any recommendations. We always order 3 lbs crawfish (spicy with garlic,) boil 7 (spicy crab and shrimp with garlic,) boiled eggs, and extra dipping sauce. Do not sleep on this place! Also check out their IG for special events and promotions.
