My experience at this Budget location was disappointing. While waiting, I watched a customer get charged additional fees for returning a vehicle one hour late. When I asked about the grace period, I was told it was 29 minutes. I then asked if I would receive a refund if I returned my rental early and was told no because it was prepaid. That policy seems one-sided. I rented for four days to go car shopping so if I buy a car tomorrow I’m still stuck with the rental. I could turn in early no refund and they rent again. Wow! The biggest issue was that I reserved a full-size sedan because I’m 6’5” and wanted the extra room and better gas mileage. When I arrived, I was told no full-size cars were available and that only SUVs remained. The SUV was actually smaller inside than the vehicle I reserved, yet I was asked to pay an additional $10 per day for it. Charging more for a substitute vehicle that is smaller than the one reserved makes no sense. To Budget’s credit, customer service refunded the additional charge. However, the local experience left me feeling that short-term revenue was valued more than customer satisfaction. I also noticed damage on the vehicle that wasn’t reflected on the paperwork I received, although the employee confirmed it was documented in their system. The extra $30 wasn’t the issue. The principle was. Good customer service creates repeat customers, and this experience did the opposite.
Made reservation online. I called to ensure they have available car. Said no, they would call when one is returned. Never received a call back. After my several call backs, they said one would be ready in an hour. Arrived and agent seemed confused. The car they wanted to provide was damaged. I would not accept it and agent was totally surprised when I asked for help on finding another avis option. She rudely said “are you taking the damaged car or not?” I walked out totally appalled by the interaction. Look elsewhere for any acceptable level of competence and customer service.
The representative at this location was extremely rude and unprofessional. For one, she took a personal call on her headphones and was talking while taking care of the customer in front of me and continued to be on the phone while processing my rental. I had booked in advance and was informed that a $200 deposit would be required. However, upon arrival, the total was approximately $20 higher than expected. When I calmly asked for a breakdown of the charges and an explanation for the discrepancy, the front desk representative (Eva or Ava) stated that she could not provide that information and that the deposit “just depends on the vehicle,” which directly contradicted what she had told me earlier. When I requested to speak with someone who could explain the charges, she repeatedly interrupted me and insisted there was no way to access that information. As a paying customer, I believe it is entirely reasonable to request transparency on pricing. Instead of resolving the issue, she abruptly asked me to leave as they were closing, and when I called customer service for assistance, she said she was setting the alarm and that police would be called if I didn’t exit immediately. This experience was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. It’s also worth noting that staff at this location is offering upgrades in exchange for positive reviews. I would caution future customers to be wary, as the pricing lacks transparency and the customer service is extremely poor.
I rented a car for 2 weeks prepaid. However I returned the car 4 days early. I asked if I will get money back. The agent referred me to an 800 number. However the refund says non refundable. This is horrible. I called the 800 number, and they said it is a Budget policy. So I have lost $213.31
The worst experience I do have in this dealership. I was given Mazda Cx50 or cx5 which I’m not very sure but the vehicle is in worst condition. There was no pickup for the vehicle, it doesn’t automatically shift gears from 4th to 5 or 6. I had to do it manually my self. Also it was giving less than 20miles per gallon on highways.
