Booked and prepaid for a car for our sight seeing around Houston, show up, told us they have nothing available. Day trip could have been ruined, have to trek all the way to the airport to get a car. Took employee an hour but found a cancellation to put us in. Very understaffed - save yourself time and aggravation, just rent from the airport.

Was coming back because I had a good experience with hertz. But I think this is the last time I'm using them. First I get a car that had no coolant in it. Hertz fixed that. Now I reserve a car, and get called 50 minutes after my initial pick up that they have no cars. Please tell me what the point of a reservation is, if it's just given to someone. 30mins to 1 hour holds for your car if you're late. Forget that you paid money. Oh you paid through 3rd party? To bad no car for you. 2nd rate customer. Apparently car rental places are just first come first serve, no reservations needed. Then they say it's the system. Yeah, okay Well I guess it's time to fix that. Weird how that keeps happening at different car rental companies.

After returning the car the same day they kept on charging me an additional $100USD per day for 3 days after the rental and didn’t reimburse my money. I had full comprehensive cover at the time and was supposed to pay only $49.67 USD in total. There was also a hold put on my card for $250 additionally, that is $550 for less than 24 hrs of rental. No one has gotten back to be regarding the refund of my credit card, they have only sent me a correct statement.. bad service overall from a reputable company!

I had reserved a car in advance and was informed two hours before the rental start that no vehicle was available.The employee referred me to customer service. Customer service told me to go to the branch and that the issue would be resolved. When I arrived at the branch, once again no vehicle was available.The employee was arrogant and unhelpful. I had to spend a significant amount of money to resolve the problem. No support from Herz at all. I cannot recommend this branch.

The Hertz-Westin Galleria is great. The one downtown is the worst. Do not go to the hertz downtown if there is the slightest chance you maybe more than 2 hours late. They will give away your car and NOT call you as basic courtesy then have you waist your time and money going up there. Then once you arrive they will NOT offer any solutions or show any empathy!! It seems they don’t have basic customer service training at the hertz location on 2120 Louisiana st 77002
