I understand that the pickup time was pushed back because the car “had to be cleaned,” but when I received the vehicle, it was extremely dirty. I actually had to purchase cleaning supplies myself before I could even use it. Additionally, there was a lot of trash and personal items left in the car by your porter, Julian, which caused me to make multiple detours and turnarounds. This delayed my plans even further. At one point, we were also stranded for about 10 minutes without a key. I also feel it’s important to mention that the driver who delivered the vehicle appeared to be very intoxicated — the smell of alcohol was very strong and noticeable. While I do appreciate that you accommodated a last-minute booking, there were several unpleasant issues that made this experience frustrating, especially considering the price paid. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers do not have to deal with similar problems.

Absolutely unprofessional, lackluster business. You are better off using Toro. Horrible customer service — the lack of communication is one thing, but the attitude attached to the actual communication is another. I received confirmation for a 4:30 PM rental at 2:25 PM. I made arrangements for a Lyft to take me to the address displayed on the receipt I received 6427 Washington Avenue. I got dropped off to find out there is no rental car business at this address — it’s a Goodyear service center. I see I missed a call from them at 4:20 pm after I had already received confirmation, tried to text at 3:35 pm, and sent an email at 3:30 pm. I had to call twice before getting an answer and was told the car wouldn’t be ready until after 6:30 pm and I needed to do x, y, z before I could get the car. At this point I was already dropped off. The woman on the phone is going to immediately get defensive and catch a tone saying “I tried to call you” yeah you did 10 minutes before I was told I could pick up the car. Now I’m standing in the rain being asked for proof of insurance, picture of me holding my ID, everything. That should’ve been asked for hours ago. I do not at all recommend you take your hard earned money here — it’s some half ass cash grab, not a professional business.

Definitely 5 Stars! So happy I chose Horizon Rental Cars in Houston instead of one of the big brand car rental companies. I like to support small businesses whenever I can. TJ & Marsh (not sure I’m spelling that right) have a 5-Star Customer Commitment. Their location was convenient and easy to get in & out. Their quick responses to texts, easily switched to a different car for my road trip, super supportive when needed a tire checked, and contract was very straightforward. Happy to recommend Horizon! The 2023 Mazda CX5 I rented was a great car.

This company is really just Turo. They have no office building and the address online is an abandoned lot. The Car was left for me to pick up on the side of the road in the grass. I rented a tesla for a day and a half and the car was given to me on low power mode, smelling like weed, with the tire light on. When I voiced my concern I was completely ignored like I never said anything. I am completely dissatisfied with my service especially for the price I paid.

Great service and communication. Easy to rent a vehicle and allowed us to drop off the vehicle at the airport for ease of catching our flight. Awesome experience
