This place was highly recommended to me so I decided to try them since I was in the area. Upon entry the young lady that took my order was very nice and pleasant which was a plus for me! I ordered my food, 6 Wings w Fried Rice and received my ticket#. The wait was not long and the guy who checked me out was very nice and pleasant as well. Now here is where I was very disappointed. When I arrived to my destination and ready to get my EAT on I soon realized why the wait was not long…the chicken was old as well as the rice. There was no seasoning on either. It’s like they put 2 good pieces of chicken in the container to give the it that hot feel but again the chicken was old and luke warm. The rice was hard and you could tell that it had been sitting for a while and there was nothing fresh about it at all. Needless to say I ended up having to trash it because that’s what it was….trash! I guess the person who highly recommended this place had a better experience and better food quality but as for me I will definitely not be back!
I am writing this review because I want the owner to know that it is not cool to see a bug in my food. Tonight, I bought six piece of chicken with rice, however, to my shock I saw a dead cooked up roach in my rice. So nasty, and the roach looked fried. I feel like throwing up right now. I will never buy food from this place again.
I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years and this is the best fried chicken hands down in Houston. I come here every time I’m in town. There’s so much volume here that every batch is fresh. Service is quick and prompt. This place is a cash only place. They also have cheeseburgers , hot dogs , fried shrimp , and fried fish.
Usually great place for chicken and fries but tonight i receive old chicken and fries that was redip in grease. Did not notice until i was home. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD.
This place been here for years and rightly so because this is better than Frenchys popeyes and all the others in every way especially on how much you gonna spend
