An absolute gem in the heart of Downtown Houston! The Hobby Center is a world-class venue for Broadway shows. The architecture is stunning, especially the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offering a beautiful view of the skyline. The Experience: Acoustics are phenomenal and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The seating is comfortable with decent legroom. Service: Staff members are helpful and organized. Everything from ticket scanning to intermission drinks moved very efficiently. Parking Tip: Parking in the attached garage is convenient but can get crowded, so arrive early. A top-tier destination for any performing arts lover. Highly recommended for a classy night out!

We went to the Hobby Center to see the *Moulin Rouge* show. It is an old theater, and since we were seated in the upper level, the view wasn't the best. The show itself was good, though given how heavily promoted the production was, we had expected something more. Still, the theater is a Houston landmark that always hosts interesting events and shows.

Rows are so close you can not cross your legs in the lower level. View is good. The sound system adds to the atmosphere well. Be prepared for slow exit from the garage and blocked off roads while leaving.

The works of Carol King was wonderful! This play musical was so well done and performed live on stage covering her early years. She wrote over 400 songs. Truly an influence, inspiring and encouraging through her own life journey. I have often heard Jesus singing her song to me in some of the tough times of life... "You have a Friend".... which has meant so much to me.

This is a world class venue with excellent performances routinely. It’s the type of gorgeous venue you would expect in Houston. The gallery and upper gallery are still very good seats with a nice view. The sound is what it should be…great. The concessions are adequate and the facilities are very nice. The staff is absolutely terrific and helpful no matter where you are.
