Our experience with Vivien at the Kirby location was wonderful. She creates a welcoming and supportive environment, and we’re excited to continue taking dance classes with her. We highly recommend her to anyone just starting out.
These studios seem like scams (look at Reddit). I took a class through ClassPass that was Ballroom Classics. The most basic moves were taught for 20 minutes (with little instruction about proper arm technique or head tilt - just the foot steps). And then they taught a Thriller line dance for 20 minutes. I was confused why this was taught in a Ballroom class until they said they planned for their members to perform the line dance at their Halloween party and solicited us to sign up to be a member. The class was only 40 minutes and I only learned the bare basics of Foxtrot. I think this is their scheme to get you to attend more classes because the pace is incredibly slow. If you want to advance in ballroom skills, this is not the place.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios - West University is the perfect place if you love to dance or simply want to give it a try. It is full of fun, passionate, and talented instructors who are dedicated to making their students better while having a great time. Personally, I have seen my dancing ability improve exponentially and look forward to class every day. I strongly recommend stopping by the studio as my review cannot accurately describe how fun the classes are, how beautiful the studio is, and how much the instructors care about their students.
I’ve been taking private lessons and group classes at Fred Astaire West University for a few months and I love it!! The instructors Ricardo and Haley are welcoming, professional, and very talented dancers. I’ve seen great improvement in my technique and confidence, and I always have fun when I am at the studio. I highly recommend Fred Astaire West U. for anyone looking for a fun, positive and supportive dance environment!
I love Fred Astaire Dance studio and Rico is a wonderful instructor! He pushes you to your maximum! Highly encourage trying you hand...or feet at a new hobby! You won't regret it! The community is so welcoming!
