We just celebrated our wedding on 5/2/26, and looking back on the entire year-long planning process, the dance lessons we took with Anjulena were easily one of the highlights. We came in with zero ballroom experience, and she completely transformed us. By the time of the wedding, we felt confident, prepared, and honestly surprised at how polished our first dance looked. She has a great ability to break things down in a way that makes learning approachable, while still holding you to a high standard. Beyond the choreography itself, Anjulena made the whole experience enjoyable. Lessons never felt stressful, and she created an environment where we could improve while still having fun. Our first dance ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the night. It set the tone for the reception, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Houston Ballroom Dance is the best dance studio EVER with the best instructor in the world. Her knowledge for every kind of dance and her ability to teach it is like no other. Anjulena teaches with wisdom, kindness, and love for her students. I have been a student since 2018. I know from my first class that this was for a lifetime. Not only was my physical health better but my mental as well. She has a way of teaching that you come out with such clarity of how dance mirrors life and relationships,but that there is nothing that you cannot achieve with practice. We had an incredible experience with Houston Ballroom Dance, and especially with our instructor, Anjulena! She did an amazing job helping us prepare for our wedding dance. Anjulena is not only an incredible instructor, but she has become a friend to us throughout this experience. She is so caring, supportive, patient, and pays incredible attention to detail. She genuinely wanted us to feel confident and comfortable, and she went above and beyond to help us succeed. We are so grateful to have had her as part of our wedding journey. My wife and I are incredibly grateful to have Anjulena as our first dance instructor. She is so kind, funny, patient and highly professional. Miraculously, she helped us prepare for our first dance with less than a month before our wedding, and mind you, we have never taken dance lessons before. There were many times we doubted ourselves and wanted to cut the dance short, but despite every challenge, Anjulena supported and guided us all the way to the end. On our wedding day, our performance left our guests in awe, some family members were even moved to tears. It was such a surreal and special moment, something most of my family and friends have never seen before in a traditional Vietnamese wedding. Our first dance was truly the highlight of the entire night. Thank you so much Anjulena for giving us a memory we will cherish for a lifetime!

Anjulena did SUCH an incredible job helping us put together our wedding dance choreography! Neither me or my husband have any formal dancing experience and yet she taught us how to do lifts, dips, and tied together an incredible dance after hearing what we were looking for. After lots of practice on our own we pulled it off day of without any problem and got some incredible pictures in the process. I would HIGHLY recommend working with her if you're planning a choreographed wedding dance or if you are looking to learn some cool dance moves alone or with a partner.
