My wife has been here a few times and had been telling me about their food. Recently we found out about their Sunday Supper, which is an $18 comfort food dish that they have every Sunday Starting at 4:30pm most Sundays. From the moment you walk in, they will work to accommodate you pending their reservations and availability. For my first visit, we sat in the bar area for our family dinner, where we had Jordan who is amazing server! This was also the First Sunday of the month, which is chicken fried steak night! The chicken fried steak was perfect, great size, excellent taste and great sides! Their bread was also perfect though not everyone was a fan of the pimento cheese, but the bone marrow butter and salted butter were spot on! On my second visit, I came back for their Chicken Parmesan with basil pesto spaghetti, which was also perfect! Eventually I'll come back to try their Friday game burgers or other offerings from their regular menu, but for time being, we look forward to the Sunday Suppers! I gotta take a moment to brag on Jordan! When he spotted us on our 2nd and 3rd visit he greeted us at the front door and got us checked in and walked us back to the bar area where we had a reservation for, and seated us outside for our outside reservation on our 3rd visit! Everyo For the tldr, great restaurant, great staff, great food! Especially the Sunday supper! P.S. if you aren't in a rush or if the weather is nice, I would advise sitting outside or at least going for a brief walk in their outdoor patio area for a nice view!

I think I had very high expectations after seeing photos online. While I was anticipating a polished, upscale atmosphere, the reality was a bit different. From the street, the restaurant is surprisingly unassuming; if you aren’t looking for it, you could easily drive right past. Once inside, the vibe is strictly rustic. While some might find it cozy, I felt the interior could use a bit of a "shine." Having dined at other high-end establishments, the upkeep here felt like it was trailing behind the premium cost of the meal. However, the service was a major highlight. Our server was incredibly nice and warm. From the moment we sat down, he welcomed us and treated us with the utmost care and respect, which definitely elevated the evening. This was my first foray into game meat, so I approached the menu with a mix of curiosity. Since I don't have a baseline for these meats, it’s hard to tell if my experience was due to the preparation or the nature of the proteins. Bison was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. Venison, Rabbit, & Quail were "so-so" or just okay for me. I couldn’t quite tell if the preparation was lacking or if I just didn't care for the specific meats. The whipped accompaniments for the bread were good, but the bread itself was mediocre. Similarly, the drink I ordered was just "ok ok"—nothing to write about.

A very rustic and beautiful setting hidden in downtown Houston. Perfect for special occasions. The menu specializes in wild game dishes and is prepared magnificently. Staff was super friendly. I highly recommend.

Valet parking. Top tier service. Comfortable atmosphere. Delicious fare: nice presentation & portion size. The food was the star. The game was cooked to perfection, so tender. The fish was well seasoned & the sauce & spinach were very good. Our least favorite bite of the night with the cheddar grits that came with the quail appetizer & the wild game entrée. A bit more seasoning would have helped. The highlight of the meal was the dessert. Hands down, the best dessert I've ever had. The atmosphere was elevated but not stuffy. We had a lovely time celebrating our anniversary. The card from the staff was a sweet touch. Highly recommend. Appetizer: CRISPY TEXAS QUAIL BITES Entrée 1: WILD GAME MIXED GRILL (venison, elk loin, & quail) Entrée 2: RAINBOW TROUT WITH LUMP BLUE CRAB & PECAN BROWN BUTTER Dessert: WARM CROISSANT BREAD PUDDING

I had a good meal and time. I had to pour the wine at the table because the waiter wasn't attentive throughout the entire meal to a point where I had to ask for the waiter towards the end of the meal. He was nice but lacked service. From my salad to my tres leches cake the meal was delicious. The half bottle of wine was really good too. I would recommend a friend to try this place for a nice evening out with a date or family. The bread and butter spread was good too. $290 for a meal for two with a half bottle of wine and this would be a 20 percent tip included.
