My wife and I chose Turner’s Houston to celebrate our 12-year anniversary, and what was supposed to be a Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner turned into an experience we will remember for years. From the moment we arrived, Christa at the host set the tone. The warmth, attention, and care were immediately noticeable. Then came Lupe, Chris, and another gentleman with glasses whose name I unfortunately did not catch and every single one of them made a meaningful impact on our evening. What impressed us most was the level of intentionality. The handwritten anniversary note was a small gesture that carried a huge amount of weight. It instantly made the evening feel personal. From there, the service only continued to rise. The recommendations were made with precision, not just thrown out casually. We started with the blue corn crab tostadas, which were the perfect introduction to the meal. Flavorful, balanced, and memorable. The appetizers took the experience another level higher, followed by entrées that were absolutely mouthwatering. Every course felt like it had purpose. And then came dessert the perfect ending to an already exceptional meal. But the cocktails deserve their own recognition. Each drink felt thoughtfully paired with the rhythm of the evening, helping settle one course while preparing us for the next. They weren’t just drinks; they were part of the experience. What made Turner’s special was the combination of world-class service, soul touching music, and food that continuously elevated our taste buds from beginning to end. Houston Restaurant Weeks may have been what brought us through the doors, but the people, the hospitality, and the experience are what will bring us back for years to come. To Christa, Lupe, Chris, and the entire Turner’s team thank you for making our 12th anniversary feel genuinely special. This was not simply dinner. This was a memory.

What. A. Shame. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and tried the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Overall the food was inconsistent, and the service went from excellent to genuinely awful because of one person. Grilled Octopus – 6.5/10 The flavor was great (9/10 on taste alone) but the texture was inconsistent and too chewy in places. Good potential, not well executed. Red Snapper – 10/10 No complaints. Great texture, great taste, simple and beautiful presentation. Lobster Risotto – 2/10 I love risotto, I love lobster, this was a letdown on both fronts. The lobster was tough, like an amateur cooked it. The flavor was bland and bordered on hospital food… not something you expect at this price point. We didn’t want to come across as difficult, so when we flagged it we just said the lobster was tough and kept our comments about the flavor to ourselves. They brought back a “remade” version that was just as tough. We have no way of knowing if they actually remade it, and honestly at that point we didn’t trust that they had. We ate it anyway because we’d paid for it and were hungry. Skip this dish. Desserts Cheesecake was fine, nothing special. The coconut cake was way too sweet, it was practically a sugar bomb. A good dessert shouldn’t need to lean that hard on sugar, especially somewhere billing itself as fine dining. Service Our server was excellent, professional, attentive, never made us feel bad about anything. When we mentioned the lobster, he immediately said he’d take care of it. Then a manager (short hair) came to the table, and despite a forced smile, it was obvious she was annoyed and treated our feedback like an accusation to investigate rather than something to fix. That interaction ruined the rest of the night. Also worth noting: the live piano and vocals were nice as a performance, but too loud to actually hold a conversation at the table. We walked in hoping this could become our regular spot for the ambiance and the people, even with average food. That manager killed it. Money and time we won’t get back, and I’m embarrassed I picked this place for our anniversary. Won’t be going back.

We went to Turner’s to celebrate my fiancé and I’s anniversary. We were absolutely blown away and will be talking about this experience for a while! The atmosphere was amazing. It was like being in a secret, sophisticated, speakeasy. It was small but intimate. And completely untouched by annoying influencers. The live pianist was an excellent touch! The service was exceptional. Our waiter (I’m really bad at names) was amazing. He was very attentive and explained the menu very well. The food was DELICIOUS. We were speechless. For our starters we had the Stone crab, Beef Tartare (add caviar) and a Caesar salad. For the entrees, I got the 8oz American Wagyu Filet Mignon with crab topping and my fiancé got the 20oz American Wagyu Ribeye. We split sides of the truffle Mac and the grilled asparagus. For dessert (we barely made it, we were so full) we split a slice of the coconut cake. It was delicious and unique and had a nice touch of chocolate on top with “Happy Anniversary “ written on it. Our meal was complete with a hand written card congratulating us on our anniversary. We will definitely be back! Turner’s is AMAZING!!

We made reservations here for our 19th wedding anniversary. We didn’t realize that men had to wear suit jackets and since we drove from over an hour away we didn’t have one. The manager was sent out to speak with us and agreed to let us dine without one as an exception. We greatly appreciated it and the service, food, and ambiance was incredible. They had a signed card by the staff wishing us a happy anniversary, gave us complimentary champagne and a free appetizer. I feel like the service went above and beyond. The lobster risotto was the best we’ve ever had and we dine all over the world. The pianist played great music all evening—the vibe was very much like a speak easy. We will definitely be back!

Turner’s is truly an experience in fine dining that I’d certainly recommend. The drinks were delicious and service was excellent. For the appetizer, we had the broken arrow ranch quail and gnocchi batonnets, the waygu filet mignon for my entree and coconut cake for dessert. Every bite was sumptuous though the portions are small. The ambiance was amazing, with the most memorable part of my night being the live music from the talented musician on piano. I hope everyone gets that same lovely experience.
