I’ve Been coming here since they opened and I love it. The staff is always great and helpful and the gym is always clean and well maintained which is a plus in my book. I love the members only 24 hour perk which allows you to work out on holidays if you choose. Great gym experience and the ambiance is amazing 👍🏾

The gym isn’t bad. It has good equipment and the rooms are nice. The huge tuff area is a waste of space since no one uses it. Main reason I am giving it a two star due to staff not being very knowledgeable with plans. When I first signed I asked them what plans they had and they stated “not sure”. They created two accounts under my name and I was charged two annual fees and two monthly fees. After weeks going back and forth they told me the only way you can get your money back is doing a claim with your credit card because corporate never answers, which is very sad. The most frustrating part is I signed up for the $30 plan which includes the room. The rooms are open to all guest and is the same plan for the $15. Only reason I signed up to the $30 plan was to have access to the rooms while everyone with any plan can come in and out as they please. It is not fair for the people who plan more. I asked the staff what benefits does my $30 plan has and they stated the rooms and I explained to them they are open to everyone and they stated I know but we can’t do anything about it. I asked to switch my plan to the $15 plan and they stated you can but we will charge you $30 to change and the month. Only reason I come to this gym is because I am down the street but if I was not I would not sign up due to having so many issues with the plans and playing extra for not reason.

This is a fairly new gym and very impressive. The staff are great; very personable and professional and quite knowledgeable about fitness and training. The machines are very clean (the entire gym is) and the atmosphere is wonderful with so many different ways to go to get fit and healthy. I highly recommend getting a trainer there. The prices are very affordable for either just a membership and/or getting a trainer. It's the best thing one can do take care of themself and get in shape and feel good.

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM! I’m writing this review extremely disappointed because I actually enjoy the gym itself, however the managers onsite do not handle business honestly or with integrity. I was signed up for a 6 month plan under false pretenses with one of the managers at this location, which I learned today was a common practice and “hundreds” of others have come forward with the same complaint, yet nothing is being done to rectify the situation. Then when I come in to cancel said service, I was told VERBATIM that this was fine and nothing more was needed to do so other than a signature by a DISTRICT manager. Since then my card has been charged 3 more times which was told to me at first I only had one more payment by the district manager and then yesterday I was told by a trainer their system had to “ catch up “ to get a refund. NOW TODAY , I am being told not only that my service was not canceled before by the previous district manager as he claimed he did , but that my service cannot be cancelled at all unless I move out of the city . Luckily I am actually moving soon, but this was never a requirement that was disclosed to me beforehand , and I explicitly asked on multiple occasions to make sure that it wasn’t before I even joined the gym . Both the general and district manager were WELL aware of my situation and promised a solution that is not being upheld by the current staff. I feel extremely taken advantage of and again disappointed as I truly believed these people were helping me, only to find out they were getting over on me for a quick $43 a month. The turnover in this location is ridiculous, as the trainers and managers get hired and fired on basically a weekly basis. Again I would like to make it clear that it was confirmed to me today that whoever the higher ups are for this location are very aware of the poor business practices that have taken place at this location and are doing absolutely nothing about it. When you sign up they do NOT allow you to read what you are signing, they make false promises, and even after you sign up you do not get what you’ve paid for. The personal training sessions are not organized at all. You’ll be pushed back or rescheduled altogether when you arrive for your session. All of this and I STILL gave the staff here grace as again the gym facility itself is nice and convenient for me. However this is unacceptable and truly just bad business practice. 1 star is an overstatement.

Amp Westbury & Chimney Rock – Smaller Space, Solid Pace ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Pros: • Equipment is nicely spaced out—you’re not bumping into people. • Plenty of cardio (about 20 treadmills, 7 stair climbers, 3 ellipticals, 2 recumbent bikes). • Dumbbells go up to 125 lbs, plus 2 smith machines. • Many machines include instructions showing which muscles they work and how to use them. • Has a dry sauna. • Music’s decent—hip hop, dance, not too loud. • Usually not too crowded. Cons: • People don’t re-rack their weights, so it can look messy. • Smaller location than other Amps. • Parking’s okay now, but could get tight during busy times. Full Review: Amp Westbury and Chimney Rock are now open. It’s a smaller spot compared to other Amps, but it still gets the job done. The layout is good, with enough space between machines so you don’t feel cramped. There’s plenty of cardio equipment, solid free weights, and a couple of smith machines. I like that many machines have details on what muscles they work and how to use them—helpful for beginners, even if not every machine has it. The music is a nice touch: upbeat without being too loud. Parking is okay for now, and it’s usually not overcrowded. The main downside is the re-racking issue—lots of dumbbells and plates left scattered, which takes away from the otherwise clean feel. Tips: • Best to hit it during off-peak hours for a smoother workout. • Headphones help you stay in the zone. • Do everyone a favor—wipe down and re-rack your weights. Smaller space, solid pace. Glad to have another Amp in the area!
