OMGGG , this place was phenomenal! Brittany was adorable and the kindest help , we are visiting from out of town and came in for a completely different restaurant but ended up seeing Cafe New Orleans ❤️ food was HOT and DELICIOUS!!! Not long of a wait either . Please try it
I tried the hot Cheetos boudin balls. They were hot & crispy, & I liked the pepper jack cheese but it was still missing something! I thought it was just me but my mom said the same…it needed some more flavor… I’ll be back though to try some other things on the menu!
The menu is all BIG food. I went with the catfish, because, as Cajun food inspired eatery, if you can’t do the basics, you’re done. It did not disappoint. Plus, I needed a little comfort. The value was very great. I got 5 pieces, mountain of fries, hush puppies and Texas toast for $18. The catfish itself was like gourmet catfish (an oxymoron if there ever was one). It was lightly crispy and fresh and garnished with lemon and green flakes. It could have a little more spice but I drowned my catfish in lemon and Tabasco anyway. The puppies had hint of sweetness a pleasant surprise. The fries were of the wrinkled variety and were cooked just right—crispy outside and soft inside. I needed a nap afterwards which is always a good sign after good comfort food meal. Highly recommended.
Ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo online. By the time I walked a block or so the order was ready and waiting. Serving size is generous. The gumbo included rice. Ordered it again the next day. Same experience. I like the food and the service.
So fresh and so clean! Staff was approachable, friendly and gave you that southern hospitality. The food was prepped and served HOT and DELICIOUS. I got the seafood platter and I am a huge fan now. Everyone looked happy. Sauces compliment the food perfectly and everything from start to finish was amazing. The portion size is definitely top tier and I think that if you're looking for a great eat, this is the place!
