I play all over Houston. BlackHorse is most overpriced course in all of Houston. Not even close. A joke, to be fair… The picture is in the middle of the fairway on a par 5. Look how high the grass is one the club face…. The fairway is the rough. There is no first cut. You get punished for putting a ball down the middle. Bunkers are trash. Staff isn’t the friendliest either. No water jugs in the holders until 10am. Mind you it’s the beginning a Houston Summer. Saw a cart girl once thru 18. Just save your money and go elsewhere. If you want to pay $160, go play Highland Pines. Or, for half the price ($80) and better conditions go play Gleannloch Golf Club. They clearly are only investing in their members only course. No interest in ever coming back and I live 15 mins away. The only thing in good shape, conditions wise, are the greens. Not a bad course by any means. But $160?? Lol yea right, take care.

Very plush course great pace of play Sunday & course is in great shape. Fast smooth greens, fairways are plush and trimmed, bunkers are white sand. Marshal kept the groups spread out and was not pushed or waiting. 18 holes in 4 hours.

Drove an hour to get here. They let a group of 8 tee off before us at OUR tee time because they were late. That is unacceptable….. we have called the pro shop 3 times since it’s been 2 hours and we have not teed off on 6 yet. I have literally never seen abytbing like this. We were 40 minutes early and ready to go and the Marshall made us wait for a group of 8….. we have called the pro shop several times and they said they would send someone and NOTHING.! Spent 155 dollars to have the worst golfing experience of my life. We called the pro shop 4 times in total and not once did they send someone. It was ONE group they could have asked to pick it up. That was such a miserable experience and they did nothing to help after the amount of money we spent 5 hours and 43 minutes for a round of golf we drove over an hour so we could be early and now it’s 1.5 hours home after straight misery. We WATCHED THEM take 2-3 practice swings on EVERY shot to duff it 10 yards in front of them and when they made contact it went OB. The fact that your pro shop didn’t even bother to help is embarrassing

Very nice course with good-enough practice facilities. Pace of play on a weekend was fairly fast at around 4 hours. The problem is the value. At $175-ish (with range balls) it is very expensive!!! But with the nearby competition being abysmal (Houston National) or permanently closed (Cypress Lakes), Blackhorse North course is the only game in town in the immediate area. It is unfortunate that the Cypress area has lost good golf courses due to housing developments or flooding. Demand is outpacing supply leading to crazy greens fees in exchange for B- experiences.

Oh my goodness im visiting from 1hr 30 mins away for tge first time here and one star review is too good for my experience today. 1st we got skipped on our tee time of 740am by a group of 7 yup seven. That group is sloooooow were 5 hours in and only on hole 14. I absolutely dont recommend this golf course, no Marshall has been seen even after we called the office to complain. BLACKHORSE deserves a negative ZERO Stars, I will be telling all my golfing friends to not come here. Hope the manager or owner reads this. $150 WASTED MONEY
