I recently had the honor of attending an event at the BraeBurn Country Club in Houston, through my alliance with SCORE as a volunteer for as a business coach and keynote speaker. This beautiful venue exceeded all expectations, making it the perfect choice to host our year-end awards appreciation event for volunteers who are business owners and executives. Starting with the stunning campus—the club grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and the golf course alone reflects the exclusivity and respect offered to members and their guests. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by security, and the ease of parking, combined with valet assistance, made my first visit seamless. The valet staff were incredibly helpful, guiding me with kindness. Inside, the country club was equally spectacular. The venue’s spacious rooms, complete with a state-of-the-art AV system and dual large screens, brought a sense of professionalism and luxury that rivaled any top-tier hotel, yet with added privacy and exclusivity. This unique setting allowed our event to feel both elegant and intimate—an ideal alternative to the usual hotel event spaces. A few highlights: 1. Efficient Check-In & Privacy – The check-in was smooth, perfect for accommodating registered guests in an exclusive setting, free from unnecessary distractions. 2. Excellent AV Capabilities – The tech setup made it feel like a high-end, world-class venue. 3. Outstanding Food – The culinary experience was phenomenal. My fish dish was seasoned to perfection, and other options like chicken, beef, and vegetarian dishes were equally well-prepared, ensuring every guest’s dietary preferences were met. I would highly recommend this Country Club for weddings, awards ceremonies, and exclusive events. The only note for interested parties is that this venue is exclusive to members, so connecting with a member or contacting the club for details on hosting an event is essential. If you want an event that’s truly memorable and impressive in a luxurious, private setting, this Country Club is the place to go. Came here once. Never again. Happened to meet up with a couple of friends and we happened to come across a worker there. Not sure what her name was, but i heard someone call her alondria ?! She was other workers and hearing them speak so horribly about others was a big no no ! They sure just hire anyone nowadays. management, do better !

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BraeBurn Country Club is the Cal Ripken of Houston golf. Never the prettiest swing in the park. Never the fellow grabbing headlines on the front page. Never dressed up for applause. Just there, season after season, decade after decade, lacing up its spikes and going quietly about the business of doing things properly while shinier suburban clubs, Sugar Creek, Sweetwater, Shadow Hawk, Blackhorse and others strutted through town and then faded just as quickly. For nearly a century, BraeBurn has weathered the great depression, oil booms and busts, suburban drift, nearby urban decay, country-club vanity projects and the restless churn of a changing city because it never lost sight of what it was meant to be. What golf course architect John Bredemus laid across this ground in 1931 was not a monument or a social theater. It was a golf club, plain and simple. The course never surrendered itself to spectacle. The clubhouse never swallowed the soul of the property. Like Ripken, the BraeBurn golf course earned its reputation the hard way: through steadiness and discipline. The routing moves with quiet intelligence. The land does not shout, but it whispers, with its unique undulations and strategy from every corner. Nothing feels manufactured for show. Nothing begs for attention. The course asks only that a player think his way around, place the ball carefully and understand that the ground game still matters. Part of what separates BraeBurn from many Houston courses is that the land itself actually moves. Over the past several decades, Harris County Flood Control partnered with the club on drainage and overflow projects, helping fund portions of course renovations in exchange for access to parts of the property during major flood events. The work gave BraeBurn subtle contours and elevation changes uncommon in Houston golf while also allowing the club to modernize responsibly and without the burden of heavy debt that reshaped so many private clubs. And then there is the lingering presence of Jimmy Demaret, the club’s most beloved son and still one of the great spirits in Texas golf. The three-time Masters champion remains woven into the fabric of BraeBurn; not as some museum piece or framed memory, but as part of the club’s personality itself. You feel it in the looseness of the culture, in the appreciation for wit alongside competition, in the understanding that golf ought to carry both seriousness and joy in equal measure. Demaret’s shadow still walks these fairways, reminding BraeBurn never to become too polished, too self-important or too far removed from the game’s human side. The recent restoration by Tripp Davis understood the assignment beautifully. Rather than dressing BraeBurn in modern clothes or chasing fashionable tricks, the work peeled back the years and uncovered the old Golden Age heartbeat that had always lived beneath the fairway grass, the angles, the greens, the strategic subtleties that time had merely softened. That is why BraeBurn still matters. Not because it chased status. Not because it won the beauty contest at the country-club dance. But because, year after year and generation after generation, it kept reporting for duty as one of Houston’s truest and most enduring rounds of golf.

I have been to this Country Club for several different events here in the past eight years, the manger is a very pleasant person and very polite and helpful and professional 🙏 all of the employees are helpful as well, I can go on and on talking about this business establishment over all 100%

Excellent facility in pristine condition and a staff par excellence. I was there for a TxGA tournament and the head pro and his staff couldn't have been more helpful with tips on how to play the course and manage shots to the greens.
