Cornell was lovely tonight at helping me decide what to eat. I wasn’t too hungry but the Sweet Red Chilli wings were amazing! The loaded chips were too. Even on a late Friday night the atmosphere was amazing. I live locally and I’m excited to come again.
Good food. Their fish platter is yummy. I got all the toppings. The fish is very lightweight and fluffy. Everything goes well together. If you want to try a sauce but are unsure you are able to ask for it on the side. I usually ask for extra scoop of chickpeas and they do it for free. I think their rice has a bit of crunchy parts which I honestly like, I just didn't expect it. I have gone to places where the rice is "burnt" and crunchy and it is yummy. Adds an extra element.
Enjoyed having food here, the employees were super helpful. The lady that works there was super sweet and helpful. Food got 3.5 stars (there is no point system on google) Spice level has decreased, the red and green sauce wasn’t as spicy as I remembered from the last time I had it.
I have tried the shahs halal food platter in california and it was much better with more toppings. The chicken here is just not very tasteful. Its highly spiced with limited quantity. Not bad but it could be better .
I remember this food cart when I lived in New York. I hesitated on the brick and mortar stores because I thought it would taste different from what I remembered. But it was just as good as I remembered it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for that NYC halal cart food.
