This is hands down one of the finest dining experiences if you are looking for true, authentic Gujarati taste. The food and flavors are outstanding. On top of that, the ambience is great, and the tables, dishes, and overall service are impeccably clean. It is an absolute must-visit spot with friends and family. was genuinely surprised to see a few customers complaining about the food's aroma. I completely disagree with them—you are going to an authentic restaurant, not a perfume store! The rich, traditional aromas are part of what makes the food so great. Highly recommended

Shiv Sagar is one the finest restaurant in Houston, known for its legacy for serving Indian street food in best way. I have been there first time with my friend and enjoyed a lot. We orders CHOLE BHATURE, RAJ KACHORI, JALEBI, MASALA CHAI AND MEDU WADA, All were Yum and delicious. Sitting arrangements were good, perfect for small and big reservations. Staff was courteous and smile all time. Will visit again for sure

A piece of Bombay in Houston. Fast and efficient service despite being a busy Friday evening. Tastes mirror bombay real close. 200% it should be on the bucket list of folks visiting Houston

Pav bhaji was a solid 10/10! Chole bhature was delicious as well. The dosa and jalebi were okay but left room for improvement.

We very rarely go to the Hilcroft area, but after seeing so many rave reviews, we decided to give this place a try and had high expectations for the food. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. The first thing we noticed when we entered the restaurant was a strong, unpleasant smell. Since we had specifically gone there to try the food, we still decided to dine in. We ordered chai, Mysore masala dosa, chole bhature, and samosas. None of the dishes really stood out. The food was just average; not terrible, but definitely not worth making the drive for. The chai in particular had almost no flavor, and we couldn’t even finish it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially given the hype. There are many better options in the Katy/Richmond area where you can find great food in a much more pleasant dining environment. The smell inside the restaurant was also concerning, as it raises questions about hygiene and food safety standards. For context, we visited on a Saturday morning around 11:30 AM, so it wasn’t late in the day or close to closing time. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t prefer to visit again.
