We had an amazing experience with Shree Balaji Bhavan catering! The live dosa station was a huge hit—fresh, perfectly made, and absolutely delicious. The entire setup looked beautiful and added a special touch to the event. The staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout. Everything ran smoothly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Highly recommend!

This is my new favorite restaurant in Houston. Everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. I have eaten plenty of Indian food, but not at a restaurant that serves specifically southern Indian food, so I was unfamiliar with many of the dishes. The lady at the front helped me put in my order. I’ll be back here as often as possible!

We catered from SBB for a party in our backyard for 20 people. Ramesh, the catering specialist, was wonderful, helping us plan the menu and seeing to every detail. We also paid to have a server which made it so nice and easy to enjoy the party. Jay set up a lovely serving area with a tava for pav bhaji that ensured hot, right out of the kitchen food. Just an excellent value for the service, and I will plan to use again in the future.

Regular customer over 20+ years. It's been our family's go to for good dosa. Dined in today but the dosa was kind of tough. Almost too chewy. Makes me think something was off with the batter. Also, I recommend the restaurant start using Amol cheese for any cheese dosas. It tastes more authentic and is actual Indian-made cheese. Using cheddar or mozzarella just makes it taste American and too heavy. Otherwise still a fan of the place. One last suggestion. I hope Shri Balaji and neighboring restaurants advocate to their landlord (during rent increases or renewals) to install EV charging stations in the parking lot. There are already several EVs who come here. I recommend reaching out to local Houston company Pangea Charging if you decide to explore this further. It's a great way to bring in more customers, increase spend, and even create loyalty.

Nice Vegetarian Restaurant !! We have been coming to Balaji Bhavan for many years, regular customer. Restaurant is very welcoming and comfortable. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Big vegetarian menu, from chaats, dahi puri, sev puri, pani puri, to many varieties of masala dosa, puri/bhaji, and Madras thaali. This is the best place to get dosa at Hillcroft. There are many other specials we need to try. Free parking lot, restaurant is closed on Tuesday.
