Everybody in the establishment is very nice and pays attention. Our server, Valeria, was especially nice and helped with decision making on what to order! Pictured is the fettucine alfredo, calamari, parmesan chicken, and the refillable garlic bread. There is also a live singer and pianist to keep the environment lively while you eat.

Nice Italian food I ordered a steak and it was raw like I like it but still cool in the center my wife ordered a seafood dish and liked it. Overall experience was very nice. Host was super polite

My out of town business guest made a dinner reservation here and I was really impressed with the food and service. Houston is a relentless restaurant city and this place has passed the test of time.

Took my mom here for her birthday dinner and it was a success! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and fast, and the live music was a great bonus. Pasta and pizza were a hit, but the table side cesar salad was amazing. Would definitely recommend and come back for another visit. They also have a farmers market in their parking lot weekend mornings.

Expectations are everything. If you haven't been before, then know this - Cavatore is not a white table cloth, highly inventive, fine cuisine-type of Italian restaurant. It is a family friendly, neighborhood spot with a cozy atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, the pasta Giancarlo, and a glass of wine while we sat the bar. Piano player was very talented, as well! It was a nice casual dinner out. Food costs have gotten higher, but we didn't leave hungry by any means. Tiramisu was delicious - very well balanced. It's a family run, casual establishment in the Heights, and we enjoyed our evening here.
