Had a great Tuesday evening here. The service was warm and welcoming and the food was even better! We had the Pane and Sweet Potato to start. Pappardelle and Pesce del Giorno for entrées. To finish it off, Truffles and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu had an amazing texture. Everything was beyond delicious. You can taste the quality ingredients. For drinks, the Bellini and Negroni Sbagliato both tasted great. Highly recommended.
Went here last night for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We use the InKind app and had picked up some gift cards from Costco, noticed this spot was on InKind, and decided to check it out -- really glad we did! First off, it's located in a cool little pocket on the East End inside Tlaquepaque Market. It looks a bit dark from the outside at night, but once you step in, it's warm and cozy. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. My wife and I shared the pane along with their Valentine's Day prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, salad, pasta, and dessert. The pane came out warm - perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The starter was a scallop with pomegranate vinaigrette that was light, bright, and a great way to open up the palate. The salad (I think it was purple kale, but I forgot to ask) was fresh and well-balanced. For the main, we had a pasta dish topped with a ribeye meatball that featured a bold sauce with tons of flavor, and the meatball had a subtle kick to it. Dessert was a cherry gelato that was simple, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. They also have a solid wine selection, which paired nicely with dinner. Service was great - our server Philip was clearly busy but still made sure to check on us regularly. Overall, this is a great East End date-night spot. They also have a spacious outdoor patio that feels like it was pulled straight out of an Italian backyard. We'll definitely be back.
I visited Mimo on a whim and I'm so glad I did. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. We started with an appetizer called Formaggio which was goat cheese and on the vine tomatoes. Then we shared Tubetti pasta that had beef ragu and rapini that was incredibly flavorful. We also ordered the lamb chops, including a side of the shredded Brussel sprouts. The lamb chops was so tender and flavorful which paired perfectly with the brussel sprouts that had a nice citrus flavor. We ended the night with their tiramisu which was a perfect size for sharing. I will definitely be back
🚨 Houston foodies, this is your sign to book a table at Mimo ASAP. 🍝🍷✨ Dinner at Mimo in Houston and they did NOT disappoint! From the Bellini to the Capicolla and that 10/10 Pansotti… every bite was worth it. 🤤🍕 Great service, amazing Italian food. I’m already planning another trip back 🍷
As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is so welcoming. The service is outstanding. The food has the Italian touch and flavor (I visited Italy last year) food is really similar. The appetizers were all good. The prawns in the sauce delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection! Paired my food with the suggested red wine. The desserts topped it off for a perfect night out. Will be back with the rest of my family.
