Our go-to for happy hour and good vibes , even with our crazy 🤡toddlers - hostess Madison & owner Fred are the first faces to greet us at the door. Minh is great and bravely takes awesome care of us , helping us pick the most delicious bites!! Ann Marie at the bar makes our fav espresso martini 👌🏼The sushi bar crew is super hard working and friendly - the kids love to say hi 👋🏾 Spacious for the kids to walk around a little & run around in the spacious , clean restroom before dessert 🍰 🍨 Thank you for taking care of us !
At the price point, I think this place is great. I like that it has a ton of options for food outside of just sushi which is where this place shines. Aside from that, sushi options are creative without being over the top. It’s not going to the best sushi you ever have but it’s not bottom of the barrel and it’s a solid spot I’d come back to for something lowkey and enjoyable on a day to day basis. Great “social hour” deals you’ll feel satisfied from and a solid lychee martini, alongside daily special options that range in price point. Social hour menu has $4 nigiri, though the slices are pretty small. A nice locals gem otherwise and has something for everyone!
The food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I had the premium omakase dinner, and the attention to detail in each dish made every bite incredibly flavorful. Our server, Austin, was very knowledgeable about each course and explained everything perfectly. I would definitely return to enjoy the dishes I thoroughly loved and to try more from the menu.
Craving nigiri on a weeknight at 8:30 led me here after moving to the area, and I’m so glad it did. Everything was fresh, pretty, and delicious. The people that worked here also made it seem special. Loved the wagyu, hamachi carpaccio, and chu toro with pickled wasabi. Our waitress was kind, sweet and her the recommendations felt really personalized to what I like. Even better, it’s less than half a mile away. I definitely found a new favorite.
This was the first time eating here for me and the family. My oldest son, Andy, apparently knows the Owner's gf so he suggested we try it out. Great suggestion!👍 The restaurant itself isn't too big. It's a very modern, contemporary spot with a chill vibe in a good part of town. It's next door to Lakewood Church. The food was very good. Everything we ordered came out in a timely manner and was delicious. The presentation was clean and displayed well. I didn't even want to eat it because it all looked like art! I'm glad I did though😉 The Owner was very nice, he stopped by to check on us a couple of times and even gave us a free appetizer which was excellent and also very cool of him. As if that wasn't enough, when we ordered dessert he added in a free one which isn't on the menu yet. They were 🔥 as well... all gone within minutes of hitting our table! This spot was definitely a hit with the family, even my two young ones and they're really picky eaters. Even my Mom, who is also hard to please, told the Owner it was very good and we'll be back😮 She never says that to anyone, so that was definitely a shocker to hear. If you're looking for a good, family friendly sushi spot, I'd definitely give Aburi a try. I promise you won't be disappointed💯
