Loved the sushi! Everything was super fresh and tasted amazing. The presentation was great too. Sabrina was awesome—really friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back! 🍣
Small and cozy. Not recommended for large parties. Food is fantastic. There is an independent bar separate from the restaurant where you can order drinks and small appetizers while you wait for your table. Staffs are courteous and knowledgeable of what you're ordering.
I had an amazing time at Doku Restaurant—everything about the experience was top-tier from start to finish. What truly stood out the most was the incredible hospitality. We didn’t even come with a reservation, and the host still managed to get us seated and took really good care of us. That alone set the tone for the night and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Mr. Daniel went above and beyond, making sure every detail of our visit was perfect. His professionalism and attentiveness didn’t go unnoticed and truly elevated the entire experience. The three sushi chefs were exceptional—not only was the presentation flawless, but the quality and freshness of the sushi spoke for itself. You could tell they take real pride in their craft. And I can’t forget Miguel, who was an awesome waiter. He was attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His service tied everything together perfectly. Overall, this was more than just a dinner—it was a full experience. Great people, amazing food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again soon. Highly recommend.
I’m actually really surprised with this place. The inside was giving me a retro casual vibe. They have interesting seating at the bar where it’s booth seating almost but more love seats, which is perfect for a date. The service was impressive in that the server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I could tell the sushi here was of high quality. The fish was fresh and had subtle flavors to it. I tried the chirashi which comes with an assortment of fish on top of a bed of rice. The rice is sushi rice. I also tried the chicken katsu which was a special for them It was suppose to be a fusion of Thai and Japanese flavors. I think the Japanese flavors came mostly from the chicken and the curry was more Thai flavored. The curry was creamy and the chicken was crispy and soft. It was just overall easy to eat. I did try a few different rolls. The rolls weren’t my favorite but they were still good enough and unique. I’ve never had rolls like theirs before. One of them had a spicy flavor with almost too many flavors going on. The salmon roll was my favorite it had like a pickled flavor to it and carrots in it. It was almost like a Korean roll like gimbap.
First time dining here and the food was delicious! We came at a pretty busy time so the sushi took a bit of time to come out, but we usually eat sushi pretty fast instead of leisurely eating each piece. Our server told us that there are some off-menu pieces since the menu is quite small so definitely ask what else they have available. The Japanese Julep was so good! Highly recommend ordering that drink. Having akami with caviar is such a good idea! It enhances the flavor so much.
